I recently had a very disappointing experience at The Peach Café that left a bad taste in my mouth, not because of the food, but due to the service and apparent favoritism shown by the staff. My boyfriend, who is a regular customer there, and I went to the café expecting to enjoy a nice meal. However, things took a sour turn quickly.

Upon arrival, the hostess wouldn’t allow me to enter the café because my entire party (my boyfriend) hadn’t arrived yet. Yet, I watched as she allowed other patrons, whose full parties had not arrived, to enter and be seated. The clear difference? These people were recognized by the staff. They seemed to be regulars and were given special treatment.

It was upsetting to see how they bent the rules for some but not for others. The staff’s behavior suggested favoritism based on familiarity, and it left me feeling unwelcome and marginalized. I couldn’t help but feel that this treatment might have been racially motivated or at least rooted in some implicit bias.

This kind of selective service leaves a lot to be desired in terms of professionalism and fairness. The Peach Café should treat all customers equally and avoid playing favorites. I don’t plan on returning anytime soon.

We found out about this place from a Google maps search and took a chance on Sunday late morning. The wait was 30 minutes but we were seated within 15. We're pleased with the service and food quality, although there were some detractions from what we would consider perfect: our server told us the menu item for Eggs + Stuff did not come with a breakfast side, plus bread or pancake or waffle, but rather it was only one of a side, bread, pancake or waffle. I said that the menu is misleading. Our server said she would mention it to management. The other thing we didn't like is the amount of acid in their house coffee. When I asked about it, I was told they used a brand that had a strong acid taste. I don't know who likes acid heavy coffee, but it's not us. We did have to ask for silverware and napkins, so this seems to be a persistent issue - but our server was attentive to us and her other customers.

I had a very horrible experience on Sunday afternoon. There is no communication with the customers. The girl from front desk writing down the number for the waiting list. We waited more than an hour, and she kept on taking other people that came after us.

What an incredible experience! Not only was the food DELICIOUS, but the service was REMARKABLE and very kid friendly. We had the Monte Cristo sandwich and one the best and most famous burgers in all of Monrovia. Seriously recommend this place!!!!

Horrible establishment. I don’t remember the waitresses name but she was a lady who had dark hair with a nasty attitude. I came with my family just for some breakfast. She rolled her eyes every time I asked for something. She was giving me attitude for little incident and snapped at me. My waffles had a piece of hair ?. When my mom was about to pay my mother asked her if they accepted cash. She laughed at my mom and said out loud “who pays in cash these days.” Literally no reason at all for that comment. What kind of people do you hire here? I felt she was discriminating my family and I.

Very cute cafe in a very nice town!

We popped into this little gem looking for something my friend and I could share. We stopped in around 11am on a weekday, not sure what to expect since we had not done our research beforehand. We loved it!

We shared the Monte Cristo sandwich, which was done to perfection! First time I'd had one on a croissant and it was a fun twist, especially with the side of incredible raspberry jam! We opted for the breakfast potatoes on the side, well-done. Everything was just perfect as far as taste, temperature, presentation. Including the hot, strong coffee. We both agreed that there were a good selection of coffee add-ins (various sweeteners and milk etc).

This is a small place so it was a bit on the loud side, and since it is a cafe, there was not much space between tables, so be ready to be cozied-up next to other diners. The staff were quick, courteous and efficient. We could see everyone working hard and seemed to all get along. That sometimes seems trivial but when you're a patron in a smaller-sized resto like this, when you can see/hear a lot of what the team members are saying/doing, it's a nice feeling when it all seems positive and genuine (as opposed to a team who may be arguing or looking miserable).

Suggestions? Maybe take a minute to clean up the bathrooms a bit during peak hours? Not a fan of the up-charge for us to share our meal (not sure adding an additional plate to our table needs to be an up-charge. First time I've experienced that.)

Wheelchair accessible. Off street, free parking. Cute space to sit inside or out.

It was our first time visiting the Peach Cafe with my family, and our experience was disappointing. After taking our order, our waiter disappeared. When our food arrived, we were not given any silverware or napkins and had to ask for them. We ordered the chilaquiles, which were soggy as if they had been sitting out for a while. We also ordered a full portion of the hickory bacon waffles, but only half was served, requiring us to flag down a waiter to bring the rest. Once our order was finally correct, none of the staff checked on us again. While I understand that restaurants can get busy, it wasn't crowded at the time. Please consider hiring more staff or reducing the number of guests if the current staff cannot handle it.
