do u want to be back in 2008-2009 cafe culture? if u answered yes, u have GOT to run to this place! the salad? fabulous. the sandwich? scrumptious. the prices? BLESSED! the vibes + music in this place had me hopeful that everything is going to be okay. jason mraz, john mayer, dave matthews band - u name it. i will be back many more times.

This was my third visit to this location, always between 10-11am over the past couple months. It was so good the first couple visits. Phenomenal prices, friendly and quick service, good food and great iced tea selections. This time, however, when I sat down with my salad/sandwich combo I noticed a piece of rotten spinach and began digging. A few pieces hidden in a salad, I can understand but about 25% of the spinach served to me was slimy and black to some extent. Unsure if I’ll be able to stomach another visit. Very disappointed, I really loved this place.

Really fresh food. I had 1/2 sandwich and salad. People are nice. The strawberry cheesecake was the best that I have ever had. They make themselves.

So glad I found this place.

Let me ask you this: Would you rather spend $30 for a burger, fries, and a drink at Shake Shack, or $22 for a hand made fresh sandwich, a hand made salad, brewed ice tea, and a freshly blended smoothie (that they kindly offer to leave in the fridge for you until you leave)?

If you would rather spend less for better food then this place is for you.

Really disappointed that employees choose to close earlier than the stated time
We drove quite a distance only to be turned away 10 mins before closing time. CHANGE YOUR ADVERTISED HOURS IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SERVE PEOPLE.

I stopped in for lunch before seeing a movie.
Placed my order, got my beverage and settled in, enjoying the atmosphere.

I was on my phone- isn’t that what we do while waiting?

Anyway, before I knew it, it was time to leave if I wanted to get to the movie in time.

My sandwich still hadn’t arrived.
I asked the person preparing the food to please change my order to go.

Shortly after that, the person taking orders (not the one who took my order) approached, asking what I’d ordered.

Turns out my order got “lost” somehow

Got my sandwich to go, hurried off to the movie.

Snuck my sandwich into the theater. Ate it in the dark. Had no idea what it looked like which is a large part of my enjoyment.
Hence the lower score on food. And service.

But staff were all kind and friendly. I hope I came off that way too when raising my concern re my lunch.

The guys behind the counter today, 5/11, made sure we left as soon as possible. They did so by speaking and laughing maniacally at such a high level that we could not concentrate on our own conversation. Unbelievable how some people can be so unaware of themselves. It caused a riff with me and my wife, as I felt the need to say something to rhem about their volume. ITS CALLED AN INSIDE VOICE, GUYS!! Cmon!!! The picture I am attaching to this is my disappointed face in my car leaving this once beloved establishment. So you know I’m not some whackoh making stuff up.. I’m really dissatisfied.

Healthy food is awesome here! It was delicious 😋 you can it salad, soup or 🥪 sandwich. They have a meal if you want only half and half. Place was really celan and with good music. The Coffee here is no really good. They are lo atino in a nice old town and you can find a lot of optiones more for food, coffee or desserts.

This beautiful hidden gem was found by accident. I went to Kids Empire next door and didn't want to give my son unhealthy snacks. The food is delicious and the customer service is the best. The Latino behind the counter makes me feel welcomed and at home. I live in the area but this place is so worth the 10 min drive. Please open one temple city or El Monte.
