Food was good and authentic dishes. Restaurants was clean and tables were space pretty well. Service was good but they were short handed so it might be a bit slow.
I placed a to-go order for two simple itemsâwontons and a dessertâat 6:20 p.m. and arrived at 7:00 p.m. expecting it to be ready. Unfortunately, it wasnât. When I asked the staff, I was told they were âtoo busy.â However, I only saw about four tables occupied at the time.
While I understand they may be experiencing growing pains from a possible grand opening or increased order volume, a 40-minute wait for two basic items is unacceptableâespecially when I later found out the order hadnât even been started.
It seems like they are prioritizing dine-in customers over takeout orders, which is disappointing. I hope they improve their operations soon, but for now, this experience left a lot to be desired.

Very good food!! The pickled cabbage fish soup was so good and the braised pork hock with special sauce was also amazing, so flavorful from the ginger and a little bit of sichuan peppers! Never had it before but highly recommend it. Definitely check it out if you come by
While shopping at Good Fortune Market on 6th Street in Monrovia, we noticed a new Szechuan restaurant that had taken over the old Chan Kee space.
After finishing our shopping, we decided to give it a try. The interior hasnât changed a bitâsame as before. Service was pretty slow, though the staff was friendly enough. We ordered three dishes: spicy chicken, garlic eggplant, and Dan Dan noodles. Fair warningâtheyâre all very very spicy! If youâre a spicy lover, this place is paradise. The flavors were bold and felt authentic, packed with that signature Szechuan kick. Their menu also features classics like fish filet in spicy oil, honey duck, Kung Pao chicken, cold cuts, and more. Just be prepared to wait, as the food comes out at a very slow pace.

Their non-sichuan dishes like Xiaolongbao are kinda average. However, their Sichuan dishes like sauerkraut fish are amazing đ€© def one of the best Sichuan restaurants I've had in So Cal.
