This place is sooo good!!! My girlfriend and I stopped by on a whim and were treated like family. We met the owner and his wife who were delightful and shared their passion to develop recipes reflective of the various regions in Mexico. We tried their birria which was amazing as well as the pastor and quesadilla with refried beans which was surprisingly delicious. Loved it! If you're visiting the area, stop by and try this locally owned restaurant. It won't disappoint. We'll definitely be back for another round of bean quesadillas and birria! Cheers!!

This was a pit stop on the way to the Bay Area from Palm Springs. I’m a veggie and so it was great to see good choices of tacos - potato, cauliflower and brusel sprout here. They were all delicious and of the highest quality but the brussels were a standout. Definitely worth a detour off the freeway!! Service was also the best.

The place is clean and inviting. Nice lady at register and quick service. Ordered the Al Pastor dry burrito. Enjoyed it and flavorful. I would just have liked less rice. Pretty packed with rice. Price was not bad at all considering. I've had burritos not as good in the $14 plus range. This was sub $13. I will return and give another menu item a shot.

We love Tacos & Papas! That brussels sprouts tacos are delicious!! The birria tacos are also incredibly good. We go to the shop a lot because we live close by. They have very fair prices. Great atmosphere. They serve beer now. The owner is so friendly. We also hired Miguel to cater our engagement party in January 2024 and he did an AMAZING job. He went above and beyond to work with our budget. His service was wonderful. Everyone loved the food. Can't recommend Tacos & Papas enough!

I can't say enough good things about Tacos & Papas. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant. All their food is incredible! My favorite items are the birria tacos, the elotes, the asada & al pastor tacos, and the guacamole with chips. Everything is so flavorful, carefully crafted, and made with love. The only thing better than the food is the customer service. Sylvia and Miguel are the nicest owners who take so much pride in their restaurant and tending to their customers. They go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Tacos & Papas is a treasure to have in Monrovia!

I have been here twice once in September 2023 and today March 2024 and this hidden gem doe not disappoint. The two times I ordered the Chilaquiles Enamorados and both times I have left completely and utterly satisfied!! The service is amazing and the food well come and check it out. Both times I have come here with different people and both parties have loved the spot. It's so tasty and I didn't have to wait too much. The food was fresh, the meat for the tacos my friend ordered were delicious. People came in and it seems they are regulars. The staff is sooooo sweet, kind, and attentive. The service and food will not disappoint trust me you leave full, happy, and satisfied.

If I could give this cozy little spot 8 stars, I definitely would. By far, the best tacos I've ever had, hands down. Without a doubt. Full of flavor, just the right size and the meat is out of this world. I frequent this spot about every 2 weeks to grub and have a modelo on tap. Everything I've had on the menu is beyond delicious. The customer service is outstanding and the owners wife is always pleasant to her customers., if you're in Monrovia, do yourself a favor and give this spot a go. You won't regret it. Trust me.

At Tacos and Papas in Monrovia, the fish taco is a must-try. Perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, it's a standout that keeps locals and visitors coming back. The ambiance matches the quality of the food—laid back and authentic, with a dash of Monrovia charm. Nestled in a town where the hills beckon for a post-meal walk, this spot is a testament to simple, delicious eats done right.

Delicious fish tacos! Great for the Lent season. The staff is super friendly! It's a small but spacious restaurant with the option to sit outside. Oh and they have great music too! Will be coming back

Second time here. We came with a group and were able to get a few tables together. We tried the fish and chips and the tostada salad. The fish and chips were very flavorful and the food was well seasoned. Sadly, I didn't take a picture before all the food was gone.. The staff is very friendly and the food was served nice and hot.
