I have never been to one of their locations but it looked promising. The State burger came out exactly as ordered, very happy to get a grilled bun too. I was able to get a side salad instead of french fries which was really amazing. The decor is modern, and whole experience was great overall. We both decided we would return again as there were other menu items we wanted to try.

The Drunken Pig is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. You won’t regret it. Nice spot in downtown Monrovia. Everything looked great, but this burger was very memorable.

Both of our meals were delicious and will be heading back real soon! The New York steak was cooked perfectly paired with mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and carrots. The smashburger was out of this world! Such a cute place with good vibes and a sweet little patio area. Drinks were fabulous as well and very nice server and managers!
The staff needs to lighten up and be more friendly. When a customer makes reservations please stick to it. That's why you call ahead.

We sat inside in a booth so it was quieter. Food is great and pretty reasonable. Drinks are pricey but strong. We enjoyed our time and will be back.

We have visited The State twice and both times we have been disappointed with our food. We have ordered short rib tacos (too dry), bruschetta (too sweet), steak (not enough seasoning), Mac and cheese (too heavy)....etc. The ambience is beautiful, and since they've added the gentleman waiters, service has been much better. If they can now just fix their food - this place can be great.
