Had a custom cake made for my sister's 30th birthday. She raved about the pastries here so we decided to surprise her with a cake from here too and they did not disappoint. I did their online form for a cake quote and Alice called me the following day to further discuss the order. To my knowledge there was no problems picking up the cake. Everyone loved both the decor and taste (it was berry tres leches and chocolate cupcakes on the side).

I had misplaced it in the Notes section my phone.In April 2023, I went to Dolce Bakery(now called Layered Cakerie) to get a quote for a birthday cake for my 80yr old Godmother. I needed a cake for 50 people and wanted to know the cost of a 2-Tier or 3-Tier Cake.Note: I have never purchased this type of cake before so I was hoping someone would help me.Anyway the lady assigned to help me wanted to know what the colors were, what design I wanted, if I wanted it bonded. I did not know any of these answers because I was in still the early planning stages. I asked her if she could help me or if I should look through her photo album to get better ideas.“She told me (in a rude, arrogant & mean spirited tone) that it wouldn’t matter” So I decided to show her a picture of the 2-Tier cake that was purchased 5yrs prior for my godmother’s party.***You will not believe what she said. She told me “Oh that cake looks like child’s cake!!!”Actually, it was a very beautiful cake but for some reason she decided she wanted to be extremely Rude & Insult me. To instantly make me feel like I was beneath her.Pls know that I did absolutely nothing to cause her to be so mean spirited towards me. I went there looking for help & a quote. But I encountered a small Asian rude lady named Alice.Words of Wisdom to Upper Management !!!If Alice is still working at this bakery….**she needs to remain at the back of the bakery. In the kitchen away from customers since she does not know how to communicate politely to the customers!!!!And if you are the manager of this store .. shame on you☹️PS -- I’ve been going to this bakery for over 7yrs.- There Cakes are excellent but after April 2023 I have never returned.

I love the cakes from this bakery, and have spent hundreds over the years picking up cakes for parties etc. The one thing that’s ridiculous is that you have to physically come in to the store to pay the balance of a custom cake. Some of us don’t live right there in the area, so that’s easily an hour drive back and forth if we are lucky to have no traffic. We should be able to do payments over the phone, especially if you take deposits over the phone. If you don’t want to do that, at least offer some kind of customer portal, or email a receipt, if that’s what your concern is. Time is money. Nobody wants to make an unnecessary trip.

Layered Cakerie made us a beautiful wedding cake for a small family reception over the holidays. We had lined up a cake with another baker that ended up not following through, so when we contacted Layered Cakerie just four days before the event, we had low expectations that they could do much more than provide a basic cake. They made a custom cake for us that was absolutely beautiful and very delicious. Alice at Layered Cakerie was wonderful to work with, too. We cannot recommend this bakery enough. Wonderful people and wonderful cakes!!
The workers are kind & sweet. Food is beautiful & Fancy looking, taste isn't the greatist. Desert is fancy looking, needs softer flavor. To strong for my taste & my husbands taste. Only pasteries & cakes to choose from.

Delicious cakes and pastries. Before it changed owner, you could stop in for a cup of coffee. Now you see, choose, pay and out the door.
Recently visited the bakery. The lemon tart is still good, the German chocolate was not as rich as im use to. The taste was very 85 degree-ish. **Edited my review, same owners. I will say it's renovated with a simpler ordering style.. This is a to go only there are no visible customer restrooms. In the past it was a sit-in restaurant now it's a bakery only.
