I love the cakes from this bakery, and have spent hundreds over the years picking up cakes for parties etc. The one thing that’s ridiculous is that you have to physically come in to the store to pay the balance of a custom cake. Some of us don’t live right there in the area, so that’s easily an hour drive back and forth if we are lucky to have no traffic. Layered Cakerie made us a beautiful wedding cake for a small family reception over the holidays. We had lined up a cake with another baker that ended up not following through, so when we contacted Layered Cakerie just four days before the event, we had low expectations that they could do much more than provide a basic cake. Had a custom cake made for my sister's 30th birthday. She raved about the pastries here so we decided to surprise her with a cake from here too and they did not disappoint. I did their online form for a cake quote and Alice called me the following day to further discuss the order. To my knowledge there was no problems picking up the cake. Everyone loved both the decor and taste (it was berry tres leches and chocolate cupcakes on the side).
