The food has a great homemade taste, with bomb dishes like the pambazo with carne asada, carne asada plates, menudo, tacos, quesadillas, and barbacoa. Particular standouts include the perfectly cooked carnitas, which is tender and crispy, and the excellent grilled chicken burrito. They serve handmade tortillas, and their salsa bar is a must, featuring a large variety with sooo many options to choose from, including pickled onions, carrots, and jalapeños. Their salsa game is better than average.
Portions are good, with delicious beans and rice, though the rice can sometimes be a bit dry. The guacamole is fresh, and they give generous portions of chips. The staff is nice and provides little cups for the salsas. The decor is cute, and you can tell they put a lot of heart into the restaurant. It can get pretty busy, and with a small staff, there is often a longer wait, but the food is worth it. This place is growing for a reason and is a highly recommended go-to for some of the best Mexican food in the area.
