I was and raised in east la/montebello. I have gone to so many bakeries in the area and surrounding areas and have NEVER ever everrrr found a bakery like Chapala. Every single item is fresh! Delicious! Mouth watering. It is so good it is addicting. Place is so clean and nicely organized. I have never even seen a fly. Stop going to your usual bakery and come try this, you will not be disappointed! No questions asked THIS is the best of the best!

If you like the taste of orange in your bread, definitely get it here. On a personal level knowing a true panadero from Mexico they certainly never added orange flavor to their bread. I think it’s not supposed to be in bread and it just takes from the flavor of the conchas and other flavors the pan is supposed to have. Please disclose this as I spent $15 on bread and most of it is going to the trash.
