Service was great too! LOVE small business like this that care about what they put out. I am going to slowly try everything on the menu.

The Flight of Pozole was on point. They offer one red, one green, one white within the flight. Although the restaurant is very clean, they are still in the middle of renovations by expanding to the next door vacant store front.

You have to check out Toluco's. The vibe feels like a true neighborhood spot. The food is completely authentic with no watered-down flavors. I highly recommend the Pozole flight special, which includes pozole blanco, rojo, and verde—it's perfect if you can't decide on just one.
They have a huge variety to choose from, so there is something for every craving. If you want legit Mexican food with great spice, fair prices, and excellent customer service, you won't be disappointed.

El Toluco Restaurant is a must try. The food is amazing every time, fresh, flavorful, and consistently well prepared. There is not a long wait to be seated, the people are friendly, and the pricing is great.
They have also catered for multiple work events and have gone above and beyond by providing everything needed and serving on site. They are punctual, organized, and professional, which made the events run smoothly.
The restaurant feels clean and safe, the payment system is great, quick and easy, and service is fast, simple, and attentive to detail. It truly feels like the taste of my hometown and my abuelita’s cooking 🥰 Highly recommend for both dining in and catering.

Tolucos is easy to find and has plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The space inside is a bit on the smaller side, but they are expanding, so that says a lot about how well they are doing.
Now let’s talk about the food. Flavor. Real flavor. Everything tasted authentic and thoughtfully made. I had the pozole flight, and it was honestly a treat. Every single bite delivered. You can tell this is comfort food done right.
The tacos dorados were hands down the best I’ve ever had. I went with the papa ones, and they were perfectly crispy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. I also tried a birria taco, which was amazing and packed with rich flavor.
Their salsas and chiles deserve a shoutout too. Bold, fresh, and on point. Nothing watered down.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, and I would absolutely come back without hesitation. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food done right.

Tolucos Restaurant in Montebello is a true gem. Owner and her wonderful family make you feel instantly welcomed — their warmth and hospitality set the tone for an amazing dining experience.
If you go in the morning, you must try the chilaquiles with bistec and an egg. They’re unbeatable — every flavor comes together perfectly, and it’s one of those dishes that just hits the soul. A complete, satisfying meal.
The drinks are delicious, and the pozole is truly second to none. You simply can’t pass this place up.
Do yourself a favor and visit them — you’ll feel like family, and you’ll eat like royalty. Highly recommend!
