Legend Hot Chicken here in Montebello it’s by far the best chicken you will ever eat the customer service/the employees and the owner of the establishment showed the most care and compassion for what they live for and for their customers, the food is above what you will expect so flavorful, so so delicious I will Always come back and refer the whole world to this place. I recently visited Legends Hot Chicken and had a fantastic time! We ordered the family platter along with mac and cheese, onion rings, regular fries, Cajun fries, cheese curds and Texas toast. The cheese curds were my favorite. The stars of show were the fried chicken and chicken strips. Both were huge and juicy! The owner and staff were helpful and friendly. I'm definitely coming back for more. Highly recommended!

I was in last night and inquired about the levels of spiciness. Let me tell you what, when the lady at the counter tells you medium is hot and spicy is hot hot, you better listen. I love spicy foods but wow, what a kicker that was. I can only imagine what super spicy is like. If you want spicy, this is the place to go

I did notice the menu on Google maps for this location wasn't correct so don't know what's going on with that...the day I was planning to go I noticed it opened at 2:30 so I killed time til they opened that's where my only concerns are idk how long this place has been here but it seems cleaning isn't a top priority the soda area was dirty, the floors were very sticky...service is very bland no greeting no bye just nothing basically give me your money cuz I need to go back to scrolling through my phone...very unfortunate because the food is great & the BOH worker with the glasses is cranking out orders by himself props to him

Was looking for a good chicken spot in montebello and glad this one popped up. Inside is nice and clean and their air conditioning was amazing in this heat so comfort level inside was amazing. Parking, there is no problem. I got the sandwich with coleslaw at the hot level and it had a little kick so if you want real spicy you might want to pick the top two levels of hot. Chicken was great and not overly greased and sauced like some other places, French fries were nice and crispy. The Mac n cheese was simple nothing crazy. But if you want a hot chicken fix would reccomend this place. Also just to add its fairly priced compared to others. No more that 10-20 per person.

Had to come back and remove my 5 star. Used to constantly tell people to try it out but no more. It was already expensive but now you can be sure to pay 25$ per person. Idk what they are doing they keep adding weird items to the menu and now inflating prices. Like just be a chicken spot thats what you do well, hot chicken. Wont be eating here anymore...too expensive now and I fear the new items on the menu will bring the quality of the other already established items down as now the cook has to focus on so much more...yikes.

This was a great experience. The store is newly renovated, and the decorations are really aesthetic and interesting. The owner was behind the counter when I arrived with my wife. She was nice, pleasant, and helped us figure out our order. First up was the chicken tender sandwich. I got it mild. The portions are huge and the chicken was crunchy to perfection. Perfectly seasoned and delicious. My wife got the tender combo with fries and medium spice. We were warned that the medium is plenty hot and they were right. Once again, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the batter was amazing and crunchy. The fries were also cooked perfectly. For dessert, we tried the new chocolate cream puffs which were amazing. The outside is a rich chocolate and the pastry itself is airy with a light cream filling. I will definitely be back. In my opinion, it’s better chicken than chick fil a or raising canes.
The lady working the cash register must be related to the owner because she had excellent mannerism and I actually want to go back there to eat because of the hospitality as well as the food being so good.
Parking: Huge parking lot and even better space now that the 99 is unfortunately closed.

I went to go eat there 2 days ago & it was the most horrible experience ever. Terrible customer service.The lady behind the register there couldn’t even comprehend on how to take my orders which I wanted to place 3 orders.She was beyond rude & I waited 25 minutes to get my food.I only got 2 outta 3 of my order, Which she got wrong & I only got half my order missing the fries & a whole order. I paid $50 on it. Plus the food tasted like a$$..I took 2 bites & tossed the food in the trash where it belongs,with it’s beyond disgusting taste.The chicken was all hard & over cooked.I didn’t even get to try the fries which I ordered on the side but didn’t get,definitely would have tasted like rancid too I bet.I would strongly recommend you don’t eat here, I will make a trip to another hot chicken spot for sure.DON’T EVEN COME EAT HERE AT ALL THE FOOD OR THE SERVICE ISNT WORTH IT!!!!! I would rate this whole experience a 0 if I could. The manager should comp my meal next time for the trouble I went through.Mind you this is my first & last time eating at this establishment.TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!

Felt like I was being ignored when I had someone order because I was going to pay and when I said what I wanted on my food, she completely ignored me and had asked the person that I had taken with me when I was standing thereWould not recommendMessed up our order when we ordered the combo and when we got home there was only the chicken sandwich in there and had paid $30Had also taken 30 min for us to get the foodShe was also trying to mess up our order by saying we had to get a drink with our meal and we only got 1 cup for a drinkShe had also stapled our bag shut so we hadn’t known our food order was messed up until we checked the bag when we got home
