I seen a tiktok about this place and decided to give it a shot as I’m local.
The pizza is ok, it’s a heavy pizza, I was full with two slices. Unfortunately it’s not a place I would come to again. I went with a 2 topping medium pizza (sausage/bell peppers). The bell peppers were pretty much raw, and the pizza didn’t have much flavor. For the price, $25; there’s other places I would go with instead.
It’s not a bad pizza, give it a try and be your own judge 👍

I went in to celebrate my husband's birthday I took the 2 long tables and someone came out to ask me how many people I was expecting so I told her about 14 and she said I couldn't take both tables because she was expecting a party of 24. I read that they didn't take reservations though. Anyways, it killed the vibe for me and while I was there, no other party came in. Food was good but after that interaction, I felt very uncomfortable and rushed.

This was my to go to pizza spot for more than 16 years. I placed a pick up order and when I got home realized they messed my order up. I called to let them know since I paid extra for the toppings but they only put it on a 1/4 of the pizza. I called and I talked to the owner (I think his name was John) and he asked if I could go pick up a small pizza to make up for it but I don’t live close by so he said he’d give me a 25 dollar credit instead for the inconvenience. I placed a pizza and wings special on another day and when I went to pick up the order they said they had no 25 dollar credit. I paid for the food that I ordered but left unsatisfied. You guys lost a customer of over 15 years that has spent hundreds of dollars over not keeping your word on a 25 dollar credit. I will never order another pizza from you guys and will make sure none of my family does either. I used to love rios, but I feel lied to and played. 25 dollars is not a lot of money but it’s not about the money, it’s the not keeping your word I can’t accept. Food is great I just don’t like being lied to not getting what I pay for.
Update:
I called and spoke to the owner after receiving a reply. He went above and beyond to make things right. I appreciate it and I’m just leaving the previous comment so people see that they actually do something about complaints! I’m glad they did cuz I love this place!

I love Rios.
I grew up in Montebello and I’m always telling the people I’m around me how it’s my favorite pizza and this location brings memories of my childhood.
Unfortunately, leadership or management towards the evening needs work on customer service, or maybe it’s just not the location to show Monday night football as it is not a priority , which is fine, but please let customers know in football jerseys before they place their order that the audio for the game will not be on.
I came because my family invited me to watch the Arizona Cardinals game Monday night 11/3/2025 5:15pm. Awesome! Never watched a game here, usually BWW or another sports bar. But as second quarter comes on, a woman who said she was the manager started turning off the audio. My family and I asked her what was going on and she initially stated that the football audio was no longer going to be on, just music, even tho we told her we came for the game. She dismissed us. And started placing her music choice on the juke box.
My brother and I went up to speak with her about if she can put the game back on or at least lower the tv volume so we can hear and they can have their music (we spent 200$ this evening together)
She said no it’s not possible. Then she said she put on 3 songs and after she will put it back on. My brother agreed. 5 songs later, I go back and ask about the tv being put back on so we can watch the game, and the woman at the register said “probably not.” So I asked to speak to the manager, the manager was apparently the woman who turned off the audio and put music. So I asked her if she can turn the tv audio back on so we can watch the game. These were her words “ We pay money to have the juke box on, I don’t want to waste money.” So then I asked her if a customer from the lobby placed the music and she said “no I put the music on with my own money.” I would have understood 100% if another paying customer in lobby wanted to listen to music because they are paying customers, but the fact knowing that the Manager of this pizza establishment that is showing Monday Night Football dismisses paying customers that came for the football game for their own benefit is not right. She was condescending towards me, I requested the owners email or business phone so I can communicate my experience with him/her and not have to place a public review, but she said he has nothing but the store phone number and gave me the Rios pamphlet.
I asked her if he was going to be in tomorrow or when he was going to be in next and she said she had no idea. I left it at that.
I am a store manager, I know there has to be some sort of email or phone number for the owner due to vendors or work orders needing to be placed, I highly doubt the owner only goes through store phone. I am also aware that we should not be giving exact schedules out due to privacy, but not being able to tell me when he’s available because “you don’t know” when YOU are the manager is just showing me you were dismissing a customer compliant and refused to provide anything helpful.
I will no longer be attending this establishment for anything else aside from take out. Which I’m pretty sure they will probably roll their eyes at this comment. lol as long as it’s read.
And no, there wasn’t other customers wanting to listen to music. They were watching the game as well, even though they were wearing dodger gear, the other couple in front and other family adjacent to us were watching the game for the fantasy league. We talked with them.
This lack of customer service came directly from the managers own gain.

I love this place I grew up on Rios Pizza so did my adult children now I have little ones and they love it as well anytime I’m in LA County all my kids grown and little ones will tell me to get Rios it usually takes me 2 1/2 - 3 hours to get home with the pizza cuz of traffic and because they don’t open till 3pm now. I am truly a picky person everyone knows that about me 😊and this place is my all time favorite pizza been going since it was Barro’s Pizza and taken over by Rios Pizza delicious I always get extra sauce can’t resist.
