Used to be the spot I ate when I was in the area, but today, I ordered a burrito de carne asada and the meat tasted weird. They lowered their meat quality and also looked like carne machaca. I'm so disappointed ?
I've been coming here (Montebello location on Olympic and Garfield) for years regardless of the bad service and terrible parking lot, but today I end my relationship with this restaurant because the service is just so bad and so rude, the delicious food isn't worth it. The drive-thru specifically has a terrible communication box and the chances of your order being right are 50/50 if you drive thru. The line sometimes takes WAY too long, regardless if there are only 2 cars in line and literally no one eating inside. They do not accept American Express. They are the rudest people regardless if you're nice and even tip! The only thing good about this place is the food, so that's why they stay open and busy, but recently the service makes it impossible to enjoy the good food. Or your order is wrong. I can only speak for this location, as I've had positive experiences at the Sergios in East LA that doesn't have a drive thru.

The competition is tough.I had an asada burrito, but it had more rice and beans than meat. The owner can be a little more generous by telling his cooks to put more meat in the burritos.Both sauces are very delicious. So try both.The cook gave us enough lemon. Yum.Last suggestion, remove the television because the signal is terrible with ecstatic.The tables were clean and the place smelled good. It has a good presentation.

If you come to Sergio’s, you HAVE to get a wet burrito. They’re super delicious. Now I will say the cook who’s at the grill tends to matter a lot. Sometimes they have some of the younger crew running the grills and the food just doesn’t have that consistent quality. However, for the most part their wet burritos and Sopes overall are the hitters at Sergio’s. They’re so good. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and I’ll keep coming back. If you’ve tasted Sergio’s on Garfield and Olympic it does not even compare, the Vail location wet burritos are a must try.
