I first visited this place five years ago, and it was amazing—one of my favorite taco spots in L.A. I’d been wanting to try it again, and recently, while visiting SoCal, I had the chance to stop by. While it’s still pretty good, it doesn’t quite feel like it used to. The tacos are smaller now, as is the trend with most places in L.A. I’m not sure what happened, but I’m guessing one of the main tortilla distributors started making them smaller, promoting it as a selling...
The food is good but there is no consistency. We live about 20 minutes away so we try to go every now and then but have stopped due to them not being there some days and others days they come late. The never post time they are available and if they do, it's unreliable. We went today (8/9) at 7pm and they were barely pulling up. It would take another 40 minutes for them to set up and start cooking. We just left.
Great taco stand to eat very traditional Mexican street tacos without having to take the drive to the border & have to deal with the border crossing back into the US. Don't be intimated by the location as the street it's dark at night. This place, unlike most places, they automatically come with guacamole as it’s done in Mexico.
