A Michelin-starred restaurant. Overlooking the beach and ocean. Great innovative food, excellent service, and a fabulous dining experience. Expensive but well worth it.

The setting is classic and stunning, and the cuisine incredible—but what truly elevates the experience is the warmth and gracious hospitality of the entire staff.

We just came back from Europe last July. We dined in The Ledbury by Chef Brett Graham, and at The Dorchester by Alain Ducasse, also at four different Michelin Star restaurants in Montpellier, and finally at Bistrot64 by Chef Giacomo Zezza and La Pergola by Chef Heinz Beck in Rome. I am not listing all these restaurants to brag but just to make the readers aware that I am a food enhusiast (in my opinion). Dining at Caruso’s again, my impression? The over-all experience was SUPERB! It was really a THREE-Michelin Star experience! Whenever we dine in these kinds of restaurants, I am always searching for the surprise effect in my palate. One of my favorite movies is the cartoon about a Rat Chef, Ratatouille, when he was describing the mélange of food in his palate and fireworks appeared in his mind, and when the scary critic was brought back to his childhood after he had the first bite of this simple peasant dish ratatouille, those are some scenes that come to mind. The meals are like that in Caruso, they are exceptional! Of course, I have to mention the impeccable service of everybody particularly of our main waiter Alejandro and his assistant Ana, and the Sommelier of the night, forgot his name but he looks like Tom Cruise. And the ambiance? Oh, our view was the beautiful pink sunset across the Pacific and the gentle waves of the ocean. Caruso should have attained the Three Michelin Star status already!

The theme of the night was… ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

I walked in not realizing I needed a collared shirt. I had no issue with wearing one but putting this in the middle of your 2 page email when booking and then not putting this in your confirmation text is really a lack of attention to detail. Then to provide a “jacket from the back” to walk me to my table to then say I can take it off at the table. What was the whole point? I was wearing a nice outfit (a warm very chic sweater). Fine my fault, I should’ve paid attention to detail.

Service: Immediately forgot to turn on heater, asked for limes multiple times with water, service was multiple waiters constantly forgetting drinks or not knowing information (talking just plain whiskey and wine… glad we didn’t order something complicated). I had booked a full chefs tasting they brought the 4 course list and then had to be corrected. Again, if there is a big issue with collared shirts and customers need to pay attention to detail, you should do the same when it comes to service. It took over 4 hours!!! I was dreading this place by the end of it. Literally get me out of here. Total drag on the night.

Food: it was good but nothing to write home about. A good coursed out menu but no depth of flavor.

Atmosphere: On the water and beautiful. I will give them the location is unbelievable.

Cost: Decent price for a Michelin star restaurant.

Overall: Would not recommend. Total lack of attention to detail. Not sure how they received a star. The sushi restaurant at the hotel deserves 3 stars if they have 1. From my multiple experiences with Michelin level restaurants, this place was by far the worst. I wish there was more positive to add but really a disappointing experience.

Took my daughter for her 14th birthday. We. Have been a big fan of cooking shows and I wanted her to have the experience of a Michelin star restaurant. They did not disappoint from the greeting at the door wishing my daughter a happy birthday and every staff member coming by the table wishing her a happy birthday. She choose the 6 course option. Form the examination of the courses to the presentation of the food on the plate all of it was a culinary experience like no other. The quality and freshness and presentation of each dish was exceptional. The flavor profiles were out of this world. The complexity of the flavors were complimenting each other from one dish to the next. We spent 3 hrs talking about every single bite. She had an endless smile on her face. Over all an unbelievable experience. All the way till the end when they brought her out a birthday desert in the shape of a mischlin star. She had to point that out to me.

We chose Caruso's for a special anniversary dinner and it met all of our expectations. The service, the food and the atmosphere were simply wonderful. It is pricey but worth the money for an extraordinary dining experience. We also very much enjoyed the piano music which was introduced the night we attended. It added greatly to the atmosphere.

Truly exceptional experience from start to finish! My husband and I celebrated our wedding night with you, and we were treated so warmly by everyone. The food was phenomenal — what a treat to have a fully vegan tasting menu that does not feel like a compromise on value, creativity, or flavor at all. We remarked that we won't be surprised when your second star is awarded. Thank you for making our night so special! We will definitely be back.

A lovely restaurant with a lovely view. The food was tasty and interesting. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We sat close to the beach and the heating lamps and blankets they offered kept us nice and warm. We celebrated our anniversary dinner here and it was great.

Unfortunately, do to issues with valet we will not be returning. Valet staff for the evening were better compared to earlier in the day though so the dinner experience here went well. We are thankful to the lovely restaurant staff who made our day special.

We love Caruso’s. It’s always delightful. From the bread course to the cheese course it’s all delicious and customized. If you have a dietary restriction they are particularly accommodating. Lovely in every way.

Excellent food and service. Mauricio was amazing and we tried about 10 different dishes and one was better than the other. Thank you.

Wow, what an experience. Everything about Caruso's: from the service, food, atmosphere and anything else you can think of is top notch and well worth the price. We had an unforgettable evening, thank you to the team for providing us with such a special dinner.

Every time we dine at Caruso's, we are thoroughly impressed. The service is impeccable and really no other place can compare. We have been fortunate to have both Alejandro and Manny for many of our visits dining at Caruso's and they are the absolute best! They always remember us and they remember our favorite dishes and drinks. Our meal was spectacular and we even had a special extra treat to try which was wonderful! We can't say enough great things about Caruso's and about the staff. Everything is perfect every time we dine.
