I did not visit the market but did eat at the deli: Paid $18 for a mediocre, slightly burnt bagel, which I had to assemble myself. Entirely disappointing.

When visiting Montecito, we needed to find a gift for friends who own a condo there. At Montesano Market & Deli, I bought local olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Angela was so helpful and kind!

Driving down to LA and decided to stop at this place for a quick bite to eat. Just had the montecito pollo and the chicken was dry, wrap was greesy and it didn’t come with peppers which was listed on the menu. The person working the register recommended this one to me but I’m definitely not happy with my order for the price. My friend also got the potato salad which was bland and dry.

We had the lox and cream cheese bagel. It was fantastic. Cute deli. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The market itself has a wide variety of authentic products.

Just an FYI. It says they are open today, Sunday. I put together a huge order for like 12 people I called I didn't answer. I assumed they were busy so I went over there and they weren't open so the hours on yelp are incorrect. I've never had them I am assuming they're going to be really good that's why I gave them four stars.

Delicious sandwiches. We had the Turkey and Roast Beef. Good quality meat and fresh vegetables. Tasty bread. The server was friendly and the shop was clean. Grab a drink and some kettle chips to make the meal complete! There is a nice seating area outside among their garden.

If you're looking for a quick bite, this place is excellent. They make fantastic sandwiches and salads. The little store has great stuff as well. We ordered the Italian salad and the meatball sandwich and both were fantastic. The bread is also incredible. Very friendly staff!!

The absolute BEST roast beef Piadina ever!!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Wish Jeff would open a place in San Diego so we wouldn’t have to drive 5 hours to Montecito.

Wonderful service food and value. The New Yorker bagel, and the breakfast burrito hit the spot.

Santa Barbara is full of great deli and sandwich options but unfortunately this is not one of them. When you go into the market it is full of fresh unique ingredients which make you think the deli will provide food options using the ingredients from next door. When we went to the deli, we had a very overwhelmed cashier taking our order. The menu is nondescript so it's hard to tell what anything is. We wanted an Italian sandwich so we ordered one of those. We were then asked for the meat preference and basic questions like mayo, mustard, etc. When the sandwich arrived, it was lackluster. The ingredients were stale and it just simply was not an Italian sandwich. Overall, I would not recommend going to this deli especially when there are much better options walking distance from this place.

I haven't been to Montesano Deli & Market, but we've picked up lunch there a couple times while visiting Montecito. It's a newish deli owned by the same guy as Lucky's (and Lucky Brand Jeans). The food is okay. Not bad, but nothing exciting. The menu is fairly extensive, with a lot of sandwiches, salads, and other deli fare. I've tried two of the piadinas, which are Italian flatbread sandwiches, sort of halfway between a sandwich and a wrap. The Corleone was a pretty solid version of an Italian deli sandwich, with Genoa salami, capocollo, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, onion, tomato, pepperoncini, mayo, mustard, olive oil, and vinegar. The Holy Cow was a piadina with prosciutto, arugula, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, and sweet red onions, seasoned with Italian herbs and chili-infused oil. This was light on the prosciutto and, overall, on flavor. We spend enough time in Montecito that I feel like we'll order from Montesano again. I'll either stick to the Corleone or explore the non-piadina options. I may have yet to find the best thing on the menu, but I sense that this place is exactly what it seems like: a decent deli that doesn't need to blow anyone's mind.

Wow so good! I was next door getting my nails done and considering this new deli. I went for it and called in the Hero sandwich. Really delicious and best of all the service was great.Super friendly staff, clean storefront and delicious! I'll be back. Definitely on the pricey side but worth the splurge.

I LOVE THIS DELI! I had friends from the east coast come to visit. I thought Santa Barbara would be a great place to take them. I love all the restaurants in Montecito. I came across this adorable place so we thought we would try it. It was amazing to say the least. Everything was freshly made the deli was beautiful. They had a good variety of choices. The service was amazing! The restaurant was spotless, the prices were also great. My favorite part was that it was also a store which had the greatest items. I am going back for the holidays ! It is so cute I bet it will be decorated adorable!
