Amazing staff !!! The attention to all the customers that came in was amazing, beautiful people and souls, food was ok in comparison to the atmosphere and staff !! This caliber of hospitality is lacking in most establishments now day, this team is friendly and sweet and caring, today was my first time there, and would go back strictly because of the people and comfort of environment. Thank you again staff, two people with one two appetizers was around $60 just in case anyone wants a real estimate, ohhh and good music ! The owner is lucky to have that staff

This place has an authentic Japanese ramen. It reminded me of my past visit at Osaka, Japan.

Good ramen and great lunch specials. The atmosphere is comfortable and service is great. There is a bit of a wait time during dinner rush but worth it.

Clearly overrated. Terrible service and food wasn't that great. Will never come back again.

Overall great, place is a bit small though.

Really enjoyed their vegan ramen.

The miso soup was comforting, the beef and vegetable gyoza were yummy, and the bowl was quite delicious. I expected the ramen to be a bit better, but it was okay. Staff was incredibly friendly. Overall, I can see myself going back!

First time here. It was very intimate setting it definitely made me feel like I was in a ramen shop in Japan. Super delicious food and amazing customer service! Definitely recommend.

Daikokuya has been one of my favorite restaurants for nearly 20 years. However, I’ve noticed a continuous decline in food quality, at least at the Monterey Park location.

During my recent visit, I ordered the Tonkatsu Curry, but it was disappointing. The curry itself was forgettable because the Tonkatsu was so tough it felt like chewing rubber. I also tried the Chashu Bowl, which might as well be renamed the Pork Fat Bowl—there was hardly any meat, just fat.

As for the noodles, they were decent compared to the other dishes, but the broth has been inconsistent in flavor recently.

As a loyal customer of two decades, I’m sharing this critique in the hope that the team at Daikokuya will take the time to review and ensure quality across their branches.

Great ramen!

The egg in our ramen still had egg shell on it. The ramen itself was bland. The karaage chicken was raw and oily. The takoyaki was mostly breading with little sauce. And when the waitress brought over the card reader, they had preselected the tip they wanted for themselves.

I don't know how this location is so highly rated. We won't be back

no idea how this place is 4-5 star. we came after a long drive from the bay, the katsu wasn't very good. dry meat with old oil. we were very disappointed in the food snd service was mediocre.
