Food is not bad. Nice people. I honestly didn't know what I was ordering, but it worked out.Parking: Parking here is really a mess. There's 2 cars in the back corner, and I think they're the workers and owner's. Because otherwise, they're blocked in. If you have a truck or SUV, I suggest you park on the street. It's really tight in the tiny lot.

Good seafood noodles at a reasonable price. The restaurant is small and packed full of guests for lunch. You come for the food, not the ambiance.

My favourite breakfast place after gym. Opens early around 7:30am and serves soul food. Soup noodle and more. After 5 year's away and back, taste the same and quality is consistent. Love this place.

Pretty packed on weekend mornings. The noodles don't really taste authentic Chiu Chow style, but they taste good anyway.

Well darn. I'm unhappy. I like this place. The Mrs. Loves this place. She's a little under the weather. Order a noodle soup with a wait help that we know. 10 minutes she says, wait outside she says. No problem. They're pretty busy. So 10-20-25 minutes go by nwhen one of the other waitresses asks me if I ordered yet. Sigh. She brings me my food and I'm unhappy. I go inside to see the waitress we know and her eyes got big. 'Did you get your food?' Just right now. 'Oh. So sorry, I forgot'. Why didn't I go check? I didn't think I needed to. So my food sits there for 15 minutes. No good today. Havin to nuke to get it hot is not the way to go when I live less than five minutes from there.

Been coming here for years. My go to spot when u want something to hit the spot. The place is always busy from open to close, so expect to wait. Parking is horrible but the Food is excellent at this location. They have several other locations, but this is hands down the best. Things to order - House Special Rice Noodle with or without soup.Wonton egg noodle soup.Beef chow fun.Chinese Donut Their Satay sauce is the best - a good amount of spice and packed full of flavor.

Anytime i am in the area, I have to stop by Kim Kee. They're known for their rice noodle soups. You can pick egg noodles or rice noodles. It comes in a one size bowl which is a pretty good portion. Service is good. This time I decided to have the fried rice cake with eggs. And it was yummy ! Only indoor seating. It's a small restaurant. So it does get loud with everyone's conversations going on. I went around noon and it was packed but wait wasn't bad. HighlyRecommend trying noodle soups here!

A childhood classic and neighborhood staple with no-frills food that has aged well over the years. It's one of those places that delivers comfort food that's filling but doesn't break the wallet. It can be a busy and loud spot during mid-morning and lunch, but the service is attentive and seating turnover is quick so you won't have to wait too long for a table. Parking can be a pain in the very small back parking lot, but luckily there's decent street parking out front and on Ynez/McPherrin. For as long as I can remember, I've always ordered the #1 assorted meat & shrimp w/rice noodles in soup. It delivers each time on authentic Chiu Chow taste. A generous side of bean sprouts and green onions are given with each noodle bowl. The noodles are soft and chewy, the various meats flavorful, and the fish ball perfect with a dipping side of sriracha and hoisin sauce. I also get an extra side of the fried onions on the side, which really gives an extra punch to the overall noodly goodness. They also finally accept credit and debit card! Be aware, a 4% surcharge is added to each credit/debit use, so it's best to stick with cash. I'll be genuinely sad if this Monterey Park icon ever closes. For as long as it's around, I'll continue to come here when I have the cravings for their #1 noodles.
