Today is its last day in business after 30+ years serving the community. I was told that it would be replaced by a restaurant serving Northern Chinese food.
Know what to order n the dish will be delicious. XLB could be better with the wrap n juice.
Fine authentic Shanghai cuisine we are accustomed to. Comfort home-cooking food. Great variety at a fair price. Quality food that can stand the test of time.
The food was pretty bad. We ordered three dishes: 红烧划水，孜然羊肉，冬菇青江菜。They didn’t taste like Shanghainese cuisine at all. The fish dish used a wrong type of fish and in a totally pinkish sauce. Hubby tried a bite and stopped eating. The lamb dish was so salty that we could not get a second bite. I gave 2 stars because they replaced the lamb dish after we complained. Don’t come here if you are looking for authentic Shanghainese food.
Nice little place, and very nice people. Service was great and the food was really enjoyable. We look forward to returning to try some of the other dishes. We really enjoyed our meal. Would definitely recommend it.
The restaurant's atmosphere is comfy, and the food tastes great. The staff was friendly, and dishes came out super fast. Prices were reasonably cheap too, would recommend!
Lake Spring is the restaurant of choice for our family members in Monterey Park. The restaurant offers authentic and delicious Chinese foods. We always enjoy their dishes during our visits in the past 20 years under the same ownership.
Reasonable price and good food. The ham hock is a must.

I visit this spot a lot since I work close by. I like how the service is always excellent and they keep the spot well organized at all times. Pricing is convenient and they serve generous portions.

This restaurant is about 38 years old. I have been coming for at least 30 years. It offers real Shanghainess food and very consistent quality.
We met with friends at this spot for dinner. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. we were warmly welcomed by the staff members and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.
