I lived in China for 14 years and this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant I have eaten at in Los Angeles. There is a dish at the restaurant called Pídàn qiézǐ （皮蛋茄子）. It's a preserved egg and eggplant combination. Sounds funky, tastes amazing. Don't expect eggs rolls, rangoons, & fortune cookies, but if you want a taste of central China without the air fare and hassle of getting a visa, go to Chef Fu's. 好吃！
Absolutely loved the meal here! One of the highlights was the fish soup, warm, flavorful, and incredibly comforting. The broth had the perfect balance of sourness and umami, with tender fish slices, soft tofu, and just the right amount of herbs and chili to bring everything together. If you’re looking for authentic and satisfying Chinese comfort food, this place is a must try. Can’t wait to come back!
