My mentor (aka former work mom) lives in this area and takes me to these lovely little neighborhood restaurants. Sadly, many have low reviews which I just cannot understand. My mentor is a fantastic cook so she is really picky about eating out.

The squid noodles - simple yet delicious. One of the best stir fried noodles I have ever had. The wok flavor was strong and you can tell the chef knows what he is doing. The squid is cooked just right. Laksa was really good though this is not one of mg favorite dishes to begin with. The lemongrass chicken chop was outstanding. I have no idea how he got so much flavor and kept the chicken juicy but slightly crisp on the outside. The red bean was also excellent!

The service was very good though that doesn't matter to me. The chef has been cooking for decades and it shows. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.

It was not to crowded when my party and I dined in. We only saw one worker, who directed us to our table. We ordered 2 drinks and 4 foods:
🍋Iced Lemon Tea
🧋Thai Iced Tea-Not brewed, most likely made from powder
🍜Beef Crispy Chow Mein-Really good, the best so far. It's tasty and the right crispy-ness.
🍤Walnut Shrimp-It's not too bad, sauce was plain.
🍲Sparerib Soup Singaporean Style-Soup was a bland taste, meat pieces was soft though
🥩Pork Chop in Mushroom Sauce-The sauce is similar to country-fried steak but less peppery and smothered on the top of the fried pork, while under has a lot of rice

The Singaporean noodle was to die for, put some chili oil to enchanve the taste. Definitely a place to go for asian delicacies. Try special fish fillet and beef with broccoli as well.

One of my go-tos for comfort food, I love their laksa, which is not too spicy and always packed with flavor. Hainan chicken is super juicy and pork cutlet is crispy. The place has a very homey feel and is a family-run restaurant. Lots of street parking and a big lot across the street too.

It was my first time to come to LA, an area with a large concentration of Chinese people, and I chose this old restaurant. The environment inside the restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the service is very good. I can’t help but praise it. We ordered fried rice noodles, stir-fried beef with kale and green curry chicken with white rice, and ended the meal with a dessert.

This is the best Singaporean restaurant and probably the only one in town. Their menu hasn't changed for a long time. We've been here since the 90s. Excellent food!
The best Singapore chow fun ever.
Their curry is very special too.

Their fried rice noodles were an absolute hit.The soup was amazing as well. The server was kind enough to ask dietary restrictions and suggested meals accordingly.

After 30 years, the taste of this rice is still the same. . I literally shed tears. . . It seems like dad brought me here just yesterday. . In the blink of an eye, he was also a middle-aged man. . .
