Lovely, quiet dinner with a view. Not too many people out on the Sunday night we went so it was very nice.

I had a great experience! Celebrated with great friends, food and amazing service. The staff was super friendly and very professional.

We arrived at a very busy time. We had reservations and were able to be seated earlier. Timing of food delivery was inconsistent with the wait time.

Unfortunately service was not good. Waitress got our order wrong had to sternly ask her that's not what we ordered as she got a bit perturbed telling us that's what we ordered. Then our cocktails finally came after our dinner arrived and those were also wrong . My husbands steak was full of fat hardly had any meat my sister in law and I had to wait for our meal another 30 min . They obviously rushed order which made it inedible. Very frustrating to say the least. They took a drink and one meal off the check which was ridiculously pricey. We paid $260 +tip . So not going back ended up at IHOP

Overall great food; we tried the chicken and waffles and the chilaquiles. Both were delicious. Went with the mimosa flight which were so tasty, only bummed they were out of 2 of their flavors.

We went for our one year anniversary celebration. The food was beyond delicious, price wasn’t too bad, plenty of free/self parking, beautiful restaurant, amazing vibes, friendly customer service, and breathtaking nature views!

An Afternoon Above the City: Lunch at Luminarias

Some places don’t just serve food they pause time. Luminarias Restaurant is one of those places.
I had the privilege of spending lunch there with my team our entire group of shift managers hosted by our Regency Manager in a gesture that spoke volumes. Not just appreciation, but intention. The kind that says: you matter, your work matters, and today we slow down together.
From the moment you arrive, Luminarias announces itself without arrogance. Perched above the city, it offers sweeping views that feel cinematic Los Angeles stretched out below you like a living mural. The architecture alone is worth the visit: warm arches, elegant lines, and a sense of old-world Mexican grandeur that feels both timeless and welcoming. You don’t feel rushed here. You feel invited.
Then came the food and this is where “good” becomes an understatement.
Every plate that hit the table was intentional, beautifully presented, and deeply satisfying. Rich flavors, bold but balanced, clearly crafted by people who respect tradition while mastering execution. This wasn’t just lunch; it was an experience that demanded your full attention. Conversations slowed because bites required silence. That’s how you know the food is real.
But what made the afternoon unforgettable wasn’t just the cuisine or the view it was who I shared it with. Sitting with my fellow managers, breaking bread outside the pressure of shifts, metrics, and daily demands, reminded me why leadership matters. Why teams matter. Why moments like these are not luxuries, but necessities. Laughter flowed easily. Stories were exchanged. For a while, titles disappeared, and camaraderie took the lead.
Our Regency Manager didn’t just treat us to lunch he created space. Space to breathe, connect, and feel seen. And Luminarias was the perfect setting for that kind of moment.
I left full of incredible food, yes, but more than that, full of gratitude. Grateful for strong leadership, a solid team, and a place that understands how atmosphere, flavor, and human connection can come together seamlessly.
If you ever want to experience Los Angeles from a higher vantage point literally and figuratively Luminarias is not just a recommendation.
It’s a reminder of how good things can be when done right.

Very disappointment about our company event. We had an office party and the room and food were well below our expectations.

We chose the location based on rave reviews, hoping to find a nice restaurant to share and celebrate with our employees at the end of the year. When we arrived, although the exterior looked nice and the staff were professional, the way our event was managed felt like a poorly run catering company with zero ambiance. We were seated in a conference-like room, next to a very loud dance party, making it difficult to hear each other. The room felt almost claustrophobic.

The food was disappointing. The steak we were served was overcooked, chewy, and utterly unappetizing. Despite the restaurant's reputation, the presentation and quality were mediocre at best. We had been assured that we would get a nice menu with soft drinks, but what we received were cans of soda on the side table (Sprite, Coke, Diet Coke) and next to a pot of cold coffee. This was far below what we expected from a restaurant of this supposed level.
The entire event was poorly managed, and a decision was made to prioritize profit over guest satisfaction. We paid top dollar for this experience, and it was very disappointing.

We took a group of seniors and were seated in a banquet room with another large party. Acoustics were bad..made the room loud with all the chatting and music. For seniors not the best situation...they had trouble carrying a conversation...I had trouble hearing the person next to me! I think the establishment has to be a little more mindful of the groups making reservations.

We haven't been here for the longest. Probably more than 10 years. This is an awesome property. With ample parking and beautiful views. Top notch place for events. Very romantic if you're on a date.
I was going to give the service 5 stars, but had to hold back because it took them more than 20 minutes to get out desserts. That was just to long.
Other than that, the food was good. We ordered the skirt steaks, ribeye, salmon and the 4 choices of meat grill.
I didn't think they are open for lunch, but definitely nice place to show off to new friends.

My party/group was in a priva te room. There was no salt & pepper shakers on the tables. The hors d'oeuvres were delayed about 20 minutes. But my biggest issue was not being able to take my leftover food with me, which was only shy of 3 to 4 small bites of steak. I also had ¼ of chicken, mashed potatoes, and broccoli, which did not have ANY bites. Spent $60 for my meal (which included dessert and drink). The only thing I was able to take away was the soda which was in a can.

For the price, patrons should be able to take their food out.
