Our family loves Mama Lu's Dumpling House! We love the joicy pork dumplings, the green onion pancakes, the noodles, and the green beans. The food is served quickly, is hot and very tasty. The service is always great...quick and friendly.

I love this place! They serve generous sized portions of food and the whole family gets fed! The prices are great. You can eat with the whole family of 6 and not break the bank.

It was a good day to get together with my sisters. The servers were nice and we were seated almost immediately. The food was so good: pork dumplings, Yang chow fried rice, steamed fish, fried shrimp and tasty sautéed bok Choy in garlic. I like this branch in Monterey park. We will be back.

The food is not good and the service from the old lady at the front desk is very bad.

This is the BEST chinese mom and pop in LA!! It's family style with HUGE portions and great pricies (~$15 for a 3-4 serving plate). It's great for a family or group. Most of the tables are 4 seaters and there are some 6-8 seaters in the center of the room as well. It is always VERY busy so go before the dinner rush. If you go you will be waiting in line (outside in the hallway). We recommmend the green beans, beef roll, chow mein, and of course their famous pork soup dumplings!

I live in central Florida which is a Chinese food desert. We have Chinese food, but it's awful. This is unfortunate since I come from NY which is known for it's Chinese. I was in LA on business and we came here with a coworker who used to live in the area. I'm very happy to say that this was exactly what I was looking for!
There were three of us and we went a little crazy ordering. We had eight different items including pork soup dumplings, fried pork buns, beef rolls, and tons more! It was all fantastic. Service was also excellent, and the facility was clean and well kept. I definitely would recommend if you're looking for solid Chinese.
Pro tip: The portions were HUGE! Don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach.

My friend recommended this place so we tried it for lunch today. The staff is friendly and attentive. The warm tea is good. I had the beef chow fun it was good, not too salty. She had the sweet sour pork it was pretty good. The scallion pancake was too hard and oily, they said they hired a new chef that hasn't gotten it right. Overall it was a decent lunch and portions are very big.

I have been eating at these types of restaurants since the 90's and have seen "cafe's" come and go. Mama Lu's food was ok. The pork with spicy salt was over cooked along with the watercress. The beed chow fun was flavorful but not all the noodles were covered with the sauce. I had heard that the restaurant was very popular so I wanted to try it. Should have known. The best "cafe" style restaurants aren't abuzz on social media.... Friendly staff though.

A Chinese friend recommended Jjin Restaurant, and it was really nice to be able to eat a variety of Chinese food!
The food was plentiful and reasonably priced, and it seems to be a local Chinese restaurant that many Chinese people visit!
It's a little far from home, but I think it's worth coming here~
At first, I thought I ordered too much, but I ate the entire amount :) I thought it was famous for a reason.

Delicious, amazing, authentic super fast service. Only negative was that a lot of the menu items have peanuts and some dumplings aren’t made in house so they can’t say for sure if they have peanuts or not. But I will definitely go again and bring my Epi pen!
