The food tasted great, the service was good. But whoever is using gobs of MSG needs to cut back a bit. I had a headache and was super thirsty a 1/2 hour after we left.

Waited in line for my number to be called for 40 min. After having numbers ahead of me being called, we checked and looks like we had been crossed out on their list. Clearly our party of 3 got crossed out to a party of 2. We tried to explain that we have been crossed out without being called on and the staff said they couldn't do anything and to add ourselves to list again at the very end adding another 40min to our wait. No restuarant with a B on their window is worth waiting for more than 1 hour.

The food was delicious!! My friend and I ordered 6 different plates because we couldn't narrow it down to a few. My favorites were the wonton soup and the lemon pork. The chicken fried rice was also good, uniquely salted, which we both enjoyed. The only downside was the service. We got food but no water or drinks that we ordered until we couldn't find our server for 30 minutes, and the gal bussing the tables helped us. It happens. We will be back because we have more to try. The menu's enormous.Parking: Park behind the restaurant.

It's authentic and delicious. The line is usually very long but ones a month it's worth the wait. Parking is easy and the staff is friendly and competent.

It was busy when I came to dinner around 7:30 pm on a Sunday night. Waited until 8 pm to be seated. It's a small restaurant. I look up the menu before I got here because I wanted to know what to order right away. Ordered salted fish and chicken fried rice, shanghai noodles, pork soup dumplings, fried buns, beef and green beans, salty spareribs, and beef wrap. Salted fish & chicken fried rice- it was not too salty or flavorful. 9/10. Shanghai noodles- just enough flavor and texture of noodles was good, not too soft or hard. 9/10 Pork soup dumplings- the flavor was there. Some of the dumplings didn't have as much juice as I want it. 9/10 Fried buns- flavor of meat inside the bun was good. I like the texture of the bun it was pan fried. 7/10 Beef wrap- flavorful and texture of wrap was good 7/10 Salty spareribs- i think I ate the most salty piece because it was salty and I ate another piece but wasn't too salty. The crunchiness of how fresh it was, so good! 9/10 Sautéed green beans with beef- the flavor was good and the texture of the beef was soft and tender. The beans had a slight crunch to it. It was my favorite dish. 10/10 Yes I would come back again maybe during lunchtime or something.

My dad and I were craving some dim sum, so we drove out to Monterey Park to look for some restaurants. Mama Lu's has always been one of the restaurants I wanted to try. The restaurant is a little small, but if they're ever busy and you want takeout, they have a kiosk where you can order yourself. Not many dim sum restaurants have this, so I thought it was very unique. Our food came out so fast and the staff was able to answer all of our questions about the menu. These portions were HUGE. We didn't even make a dent on the dishes, but we were able to our leftovers and eat it for dinner. I would definitely come back to get the fried pork buns, pork chop, and the sprouts.

Food is excellent! Quality at a reasonable price. Some of my favorites are the french style beef, tofu and mushrooms, shrimp and eggs, and of course the dumplings. The steam fish is our favorite and worth the visit. Service is extremely fast and don't forget to buy the frozen dumplings to take home and cook whenever you want. Nothing fancy in the ambiance just open tables optimized for as many people as possible.
