I'm not sad this place closed. They were not good. Served us a sour mushy lobster and didn't care.

Had liked their lunch specials, but has been closed since spring.

One of my favorite traditional Cantonese restaurants in LA! Lunch special is delicious, comes with rice and Cantonese soup (soup of the day), really good deal. Steam yellow chicken, steam fish, and other traditional items are great. It says that they are closed, not sure if it's still closed due to Covid but I'm gonna call and confirm.

It was a Saturday evening around 6 am. There was about 2 tables of diners. We were seated at the back of the restaurant. As the evening went on, the place was about 50% full. There were about 8 servers walking or standing around. We ordered a large size of dried lily flower with pork bone soup (霸王花煲豬骨: soup, steaming hot, very tasty old-fashioned long-boiled soup, with lots of pork meat), steamed live red grouper fish (紅斑魚: 2.5 lb, fresh, steamed with the right time, but overpriced at $33 per pound!), lobster with ginger and scallion (3.5 lb, advertised as special at $9.99 per pound), Taishan broccoli with pork neck meat (with wok aroma, the best dish), Hong Kong styled pork ribs (so so, not impressed), taro with preserved meat hot pot (disappointing, too watery, should have more taro), beef fried noodle (done right), white rice (automatically charged $1 per person), and complimentary red bean soup. The staff was attentive and changed our plates often. The dishes were solidly cooked and presented, but with no WOW factor! Items on the menu were pricey!

The food is absolutely solid! ? Don't be fooled by the old decor. The service is typical Cantonese style.

We always go here when we're in LA! Not the newest, not the prettiest, but the food never lets us down! The fried oysters were really good :)

I regularly come buying some food in here. I enjoy the speedy service and well cooked dishes. They never disappoint.

Good quality lunch special options for the entire family. Been to this place for the last 20 years and hopefully for more. There might be a new restaurant around the block but you can't beat the price. No frills

Arrived at 6PM, and the FIRST dish took AT LEAST AN HOUR to come up (was about 7:40PM). When we called the server over to ask where is our foods, they just told us that "it's almost done", then left without any apologies. I know that they could be busy, but customers that ordered (10-20 min) after us got their foods, even the soup. We didn't order any fancy foods, just noodle, vegetable, meats and that was about it. I didn't know it takes 1 hour to make AT LEAST one of it and the noodle was still raw. Foods was okay but it took so long for our foods to come.

They wouldn't allow a federally protected service animal even into the lobby to order takeout. If you have a service animal, don't come here. Also, the guy at the desk is a completely blowhard with zero customer service or even basic manners.

This is a typical Chinese restaurant in the SGV area, but compared to other places, I think the food here is good for the price. My family eats dinner here almost every Sunday and typically feast on the following: - Salted egg yolk battered crab. Better than most other places I've eaten at, imo. I don't see this on the menus on Yelp. - Steamed live King crab. Pretty good, but I do get sick of it after awhile. It's steamed so there isn't too much flavor. Maybe if it comes with more flavor, I'd eat more of this. - Steamed live rock cod. Always good, but then again I like eating fish! - Pan fried oyster/scallop with ginger and green onion. The scallop comes with a bit of glass noodle on top of it and is really good. Both shellfish are good! - Minced squab with lettuce. Not bad. It's typical so there's nothing special about it. - BBQ squab. My kid loves eating this. - Taishan broccoli and seasonal veggies. Consistently good. My kid loves this dish. - King crab fried rice. Really good! - House special chicken. Typical, but good. - Honey glazed walnut shrimp. Not bad here. - Steamed live jumbo prawns. They are typically sweet and delicious! - Sauteed live lobster with ginger and scallions. Fresh and juicy! Giving this place 4 stars because the staff here recognize my family and usually provide us with good service.
