Taihei Sushi Restaurant Reviews
Best sushi in LA! Everything melted in your mouth! The fish is fresh, the price is affordable, and the service is great! It looks like a hole in the wall - but wow :)) We eat there once a week and love it! Drove all the way from Studio City to have dinner there - 2 hours each way in traffic - so that's obviously what it says :)) Haha
Just love it!
If I could eat here every day, I would. These are my favorite types of sushi restaurants to go to. Simple yet extraordinary. No frills, no dense California rolls, no bells and whistles, just good sushi that's as traditional as possible. Everything (that I tried) was fresh.
I'm so happy I found this little gem on this side of town. I will be back soon to try other parts of the restaurant
The Sushi Bar was Excellent!

Taihei Sushi Restaurant is a small and cozy establishment known for its friendly staff and helpful service, especially for those with mobility challenges. This restaurant offers Japanese comfort food that is not fancy but delicious. The lunch combos are reasonably priced, and fresh a la carte sushi is available. The dinner menu features a variety of options at great prices, including highly praised dishes like sashimi, sushi, tonkatsu, and beef teriyaki. Customers often mention the unbelievably fresh fish, generous portions, and a great selection of rolls. The space is purposefully small to maintain food quality, and while the service is usually friendly, it may be a bit slow during busy times. Despite its unassuming appearance, this restaurant is a hidden gem in LA, worth the drive for delicious sushi that keeps customers coming back. Locals have enjoyed the restaurant's offerings for decades, appreciating the great value of the lunch specials and dinner menu. The small touches like miso soup, bento box accompaniments, and seafood tempura make the experience even better. The restaurant has old school vibes, with simple seating and a friendly security guard watching over the parking lot. This place is perfect for those seeking honest, hearty Japanese food in a cozy setting, and many customers express excitement to share it with friends and family.
