Honestly, you can’t get much better than this. The food was great, the atmosphere was awesome, and the people there made the whole experience even better. From the moment we walked in, the place felt welcoming and lively. Looking around, every table seemed to be enjoying their meal just as much as we were.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and packed with authentic spices. Everything we ordered came out hot and well prepared, and the portions were generous. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.

Another thing that stood out were the cocktails. They have some really exotic drinks with a nice kick that pair perfectly with the food and add something fun to the whole experience.

Overall it was a great night—great food, awesome atmosphere, and friendly people. Definitely a place I’d come back to again.

Ambrosia India Bistro is easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Monterey. The food is absolutely delicious...every dish is full of flavor and clearly made with care and quality ingredients.

The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The environment is beautiful, warm, and inviting, with a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy every moment.

I always rely on Ambrosia Bistro in Monterey to provide me with good food. My work colleagues and I eat there five or six times each, and have had every meal be fantastic. The waitstaff are attentively accommodating and the food is always fresh and full of flavor.

I almost always order the Goat Karahi with garlic naan. The goat is tender, the spices are evenly balanced and the rich curry is outstanding with the warm garlic naan. I frequently return to Ambrosia Bistro and order the goat karahi because it tastes so good!

If you are searching for an authentic Indian restaurant in Monterey that prepares delicious food, then you should try Ambrosia Bistro. The restaurant's consistency and taste means I will continue to return.

I visited to my cousin last week in Monterey CA. And My Cousin and his family took me here as it is their favourite Indian restaurant. I was blown away by the food and atmosphere here!

The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. It has super high ceilings, large windows, long curtains, beautiful lighting, and gorgeous Indian decor. Our server was friendly, and the chef who brought out our food on a tray was such a dear! I could tell he was so proud and passionate about the dishes he was serving, and you could definitely taste it in his food!
Everything was absolutely DIVINE! My dish was creamy, spicy, and the chicken was so tender. Scooping it up with the Garlic Naan was the perfect combination.
It super like it and I would love to go there again.

I feel bad I had to change my review, but after my most recent visit we'll never come back. We've been patrons numerous times and have enjoyed the flavors and vibes for the most part. We have gone during quieter hours, but that should be no excuse for the lack of service this past visit. Obviously the boy that served us wasn't a usual waiter, no clue of the menu, service standards or correct attire! He just looked like a regular person. He even tried to argue with missing a dish that we ordered smh.

We felt very unsafe being a group of women.

Gonna take my heard earned money elsewhere unfortunately.

We had a party tray of butter chicken and rice for lunch at the office today, and I can never get enough of their butter chicken. So flavorful and always a hit!

Great office luncheon. The butter chicken was rich and flavorful, the palak paneer was fresh and well-seasoned, and the chana masala was hearty and delicious. Overall, a very satisfying meal for the team. Everyone enjoyed it!!!

Fantastic Service and Super Nice Owner
The owner BJ and his staff are super nice and provided excellent service on my visit to this restaurant as I was stuck nearby due to a flat tire. The chicken Shahi Kurma and Garlic naans were fantastic. The kurma had just the right amount of spice and the naan was made to perfection. When another item wasn't to our liking, BJ replaced without any issues and even offered a free drink for us. Never met a more friendly and accommodating Indian restaurant owner. Will definitely stop by the next time I am in the area, primarily for BJ's hospitality.

This place is incredible!! The atmosphere is homey and inviting. The staff have always been so kind and patient. They are never rushing you and leave you be to enjoy your meal at your own pace. And the food - the BEST!!! I could eat here everyday and be happy. My boyfriend always gets the Chicken Tikka Masala and I've tried all of the lamb dishes and they are absolutely delicious! The coconut rice is a MUST! And the pesto naan is a staple for us. We have never been disappointed by any of the starters either. If you're in the area - go here! You'll be upset if you don't!
