“The coastal kitchen was a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. At each course they explained in great detail what the particular flavor characteristics were of the outstanding prepared food that we enjoyed We did the wine pairing, which was also quite a lot of fun. I admit, I enjoy a certain style of wine. But with an open mind was able to understand a nuances of different variables, as it was paired with food. The Somalia had a great deal of knowledge, and was very skilled at explaining a nuances of the wines we enjoyed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, pretty pricey, but well worth it if you can afford that type of thing”
“The sort of place you stumble upon, then wonder why everyone isn’t talking about it.The food was divine. A perfect mix of flavours and delicately executed. I especially recommend the Yellowtail Crudo to start, and the lemon olive oil cake to finish. You might struggle to park but there aren’t many better places to eat in Monterey than this!Parking: On site, around the back”
“A wonderful breakfast spot! Although this place is small, they can handle the constant flow of customers. The location itself feels very comforting and welcoming. They offer traditional breakfast along with some Mexican inspired dishes. My family enjoyed our meals, coffee and chia lattes. The service was excellent. For only two people working the tables, they are quick and accurate. Definitely come here when you’re in the area and wanting a nice hot breakfast.Parking: Free street parking with 90 minute limit”
“We had the greatest experience dining at the Sardine Factory of Monterey on our 22nd wedding anniversary. We enjoyed mango sorbet, served on beautifully lit ice swans, before our main courses, which simply added to our fantastic evening under the sky in the all glass Conservatory Room. Our waitress Marissa was happy, professional and knowledgeable. The sommelier Dave was so very kind and quite knowledgeable in wines and the Monterey region. We had a wonderful surprise visit from Sunjeev, who is an honored and award winning waiter that's been providing the greatest of service there for near 46 years now. Thank you Sardine Factory, owners and staff. You truly filled our evening with wonderful memories and opulence. Much love, Bill and Sara”
“Absolutely LOVE this place. I had the crab and shrimp omelette with a Lou Mosa. I would recommend you come early so you can enjoy your breakfast with a beautiful view. Best Breakfast in Monterey!!!! The atmosphere is fun and warm and exciting every time I come.”

“Food was scrumptious. We ordered hummus platter and garlic chicken gyro. Both of dishes were very flavorful and the guy makes the food himself and serves it with a lot of love.”
“place with traditional flavors mole tacos special tortillas in corn different flavored sauces it really seemed like a super restaurant. I would definitely eat here again on my next trip. I recommend it. They also have excellent customer service.”
“I wanted to send my college age son and his girlfriend a restaurant gift card as a treat and surprise for their visit to Monterey. I ordered it through the website without any issue except failing to realize I needed it for that weekend, and they mail their gift cards, not email them. I spoke to Nice Gal at the front desk, who directed me to the accounting department that handles gift card orders, who was also very nice and understanding. The gal was nice enough to process the order that day and have it at the front desk for my son by that Friday evening. Everything went off without any hitches, and they generously included a complimentary appetizer stating it was from his mom. How amazing and sweet is that!!The kids said the food was delicious and the ocean view table made their weekend that much more special. I'll definitely make a point to go next time we visit Monterey.”

“What a gluten free find!!! Not only was this bakery 100% dedicated gluten free they had dairy free and vegan options. Every employee we encountered was helpful and kind. They were able to make us a dairy free breakfast sandwiches which were heavenly. The muffins were large and so moist and delicious. Cupcakes were so good it was hard to believe they were gluten free. But can I tell you about their vegan scones?! I have NEVER had a scone that wasn’t dry until I tried them here at Neces. How do they do it? When I could eat gluten I remember scones being dry lol. You will NOT be disappointed! Cannot wait to take a trip back.”

“The food here is really great and the menu is huge! There are many foods that are rarely found as vegan options, so it's a lot of fun for a vegan to try them. Service is friendly and fast food is made to order. The empanaditos are also very good, and the desserts are also very delicious. This restaurant is centrally located and can be busy at times. If the parking lot is full, there is usually free street parking just a block or two away.Vegetarian options: Restaurant is completely vegan”
“My family and I decided to eat breakfast here the other morning and I sure am glad we did! My husband and I ordered two savory crepes while our kids ordered sweet crepes. We all shared, because who doesn’t like a bit of both sweet and savory? Service was excellent and my kids got to watch as the crepes were created. The food was DELICIOUS. I will definitely go back next time I’m in the area! ✨”
“Great place, my first time.5 of us and we all ordered something different. Got to try everything. All of was fabulous. Service was spot on and loved the feel the place.”
“We really enjoy it here. We chose this restaurant for out last evening in California and we would do it again. The people are very nice and the atmosphere too. And we have no complaint over the food. DELICIOUS!!?Parking: Alot of place!”
“Top notch sandwich, the sourdough bread excellent, pesto mayo delicious, and the staff are really friendly. I now see why my friends recommended I check it out!”
“Has been here for years, with a great reputation that needs nothing from me. Extensive menu with lots of choices. A destination spot in the center of Monterey. But, the cakes!! Unlimited choices- all above average. I recommend the chocolate - moist and one of the best I've ever had.Cookies and pies as well.Solid staff, nice seats, all good.”
“One of the best restaurants to dine in. Very cozy and elegant Italian seafood cuisine. The owner, Dominic, is very humble, and all his staff are great. I love the restaurant's decor. It is filled with history.”

“Great spot for a beer, right in the thick of all the tourist stuff. Solid beer, nice patio. No food, but they do food trucks. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable. All around, enjoyed it.”
“I came here with my family this last weekend and wanted to make sure I completed this review based off the fantastic experience I had at this location. Desiree was extremely nice and helpful. Desiree even accommodated us by taking me to look at the table that was available to ensure that worked for my family and let me know there was another option if it did not work for us. I have to say I have never had a restaurant employee treat me that good. I really felt welcomed and taken care of.When we sat down we were assisted by waitress Autumn who was wonderful herself. Autumn was very friendly, attentive and had good knowledge of the menu. Exactly how you would like your server to be. She took very good care of us our whole visit. Overall the food, service and atmosphere were awesome. I would definitely recommend coming here when you're in Monterey. I for sure will be coming back very soon.”
“Very tasty breakfast, the pancakes were outstanding and the portion was more than large. We were there on a Saturday morning and the restaurant was already full. We put ourselves on the list of the nice employee at the counter and then walked around the block for 20 minutes to get our seat.”
“The food was good, and so was the White Chocolate Mochas, but there seemed to be a lot going on in the prep area, but not so much as in the dining (interior/exterior) area. Also pretty pricey for breakfast, two crepes & two White Chocolate Mochas was over $50.”
“Had a lovely breakfast in the restaurant in the morning and then went to the bar later that day for drinks. We asked for a tequila old fashioned cocktail and the lovely bar man Luis made us one of his own creations. He called it a Mexican old fashioned and it was honestly the best cocktail we have ever tasted. Luis is a very skilled mixologist and hopefully his Mexican old fashioned will become a regular drink at the C bar.”
“Pros: The service was impeccable. Shoutout to everyone we were in contact with esp Christopher and Michelle. The atmosphere was really pleasant. The almost Paloma cocktail was really nice. I love that they are trying to do farm to table and focus on local and high quality proteins and veg. The short rib on the kids menu was such an amazing deal for my kids and so generous. And a favorite all the way around. The New York steak was really good. Potatoes so light don’t know how they do it. The scallop entree (if you love scallops was good but not great)Cons: the rest of the cocktails were not that creative or balanced. They could use a refresh on the cocktail menu. The risotto was not a fav. Normally we choose rice over potatoes. Go with the mash potatoes pure perfection. The scallop starter was interesting but not in a good way. Sliced way too thick and the “sauce” felt like a simple pour of tamari so it was a miss. The crab cakes were a little fishy and a little heavy and they’ve been done so much unless you’re doing something special why even serve them. For reference being based in Maui, HI were going to places like Morimotos for seafood or mama’s fish house so we are a little spoiled but still, from the reviews we expected a little more. All in all I give it a five because they were quick to fix anything we needed. Most of our food choices we loved and the service which really makes the experience was spot on. We would come again we’d just be more careful in what we ordered. ??”
“The hole in the wall is located on the wharf. Walk down stairs and it's right on the water. The initial impression I got wasn't great. Standing and waiting for several mins awkwardly as multiple people passed by who work there, not even a quick greeting or acknowledgment. A very busy, quick talking woman came rushing our way at some point and whisked us away to a table. The view was beautiful. The ocean, the boats, the weather. Fairly quickly we did get served. Trying the fresh halibut special, it did. It disappoint. Deliciously encrusted with pecan and bread crumbs, a creamy mango sauce. My other half opted for the salmon, also fresh and delicious. The overall observation and interaction is that this is a locally owned establishment with a great reputation of the locals and tourist drift in and out.”
“This place is a 10/10. Excellent coffee and pastries that are ridiculously delicious. If you go sit outside in the back and check out the garden to the left as you go out back. A real gem.”
“Nice little wine bar with small bites in the Cannery Row area. They had some nice wine choices and beers. Charcuterie and flatbreads and other snacks. Wine flights in test tubes which looked a bit bizarre but was popular! Good service with only one person working when I went. I went with a glass of their Brut which was slightly sweet for me , and their sourdough pretzel with Dijon mustard. The pretzel was nice and warm and the mustard had a great kick. Nice little gifts available too. I liked that it had groups and just solos having a glass of vino at the end of the day. Cozy feel.”
“Enjoyed a nice afternoon @ "A Taste of Monterey"! Whether you come for the food & wine, or just wonderful wines...make it a definite visit. I'm sure they can be busy (so check on a reservation), but we were lucky enough to walk right in. Attached is a view from our seats.”
“If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The Argentinian tri-tip is fabulous. Every time I go. The chicken Melanese also phenomenal. Easily the best sandwich spot in the peninsula.”
“While my experience at Zab Zab Thai was mixed, there were definitely highlights worth mentioning. The Pad See Ew didn't quite hit the mark for me, lacking the depth of flavor I was expecting. However, where Zab Zab Thai truly shines is in their selection of curries. From the aromatic green curry to the rich and creamy red curry, each dish delivered a delightful burst of authentic Thai flavors. If you're a curry enthusiast, Zab Zab Thai is definitely worth a visit.”
“The food is 5-star. The rest is 4-star. The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. 3 Tapas plates and a dessert were enough for 2 of us. Try the Basque Cheesecake.”
“We came here for dinner and decided just to do a bunch of appetizers. It was all delicious, but especially the sliders. You can also sample most of the beers so you can be sure you like it before ordering more. The staff was incredibly nice and we had a great time. We will definitely be going back for actual entrees next time.”

“Saw that there was a huge line the night before and had to try it out the next day. The ice cream is good but it was melting super fast (it was not hot that day). I got the banana caramel with a waffle cone. The waffle cones here are different than what I am use to. They are not crispy/crunchy but more soft and they kind of tasted like a cookie.”
“Was craving Indian food and my fellow yelpers came thru again! This place is pretty good. I had the butter chicken, the serving was just right for me, and it came with rice. It was nice little place, it was a bit cold inside, but not too bad. The garlic naan was the reason for the 4 stars, it wasn't as good as I had elsewhere and the serving was pretty small. But overall. It wasn't that bad and I will most likely come here again when I am in the area.”
“Amazing food and service. My husband and I have started coming to Whaling Station every anniversary and now we returned as newlyweds. The service was amazing, food was incredible (cucumber cooler drink was to die for ). MUST TRY MONTEREY DATE NIGHT RESTAURANT.”
“I had my sisters birthday here, we were like 12 people and they didn’t rush us at all, they let us take our time with reviewing the menu and talking and even organized the cake for us!! GREAT service!”
“Fantastic food and service!! So delicious!! Portions were generous. A little off the beaten path. A hidden gem. We’ll be back for sure. Healthy and hearty.Vegetarian options: Falafel, hummus, lentils, beans, fries, moreWheelchair accessibility: Ramp in and lots of space for wheelchair”
“What a wonderful dinner. From start to finish Sabrina was a wonderful and attentive person. The good was fantastic and topped off by a delicious dessert. Looking forward to our next visit.”
“Just amazing foodReal sushi, great original combinations, excellent tasteUnusual age dashi tofu but great, superb collection of wineDespite an extremely busy evening and with few staff, they managed an exceptional evening”
“The choice fell on this place because it's open all day and serves steak. The reviews of restaurant are very good, with a magnificent view of the ocean, and the service is above average - a good balance with mediocre food. It's worth trying once, but I'm unlikely to return. There are much tastier restaurants in Monterey.”
“Beautiful spot to stop on the way back to the Sea Otter Classic! Food was good, the California style of a steak & cheese sandwich was nice. The fries were tastey. The outdoor seating area was lovely.”
“This place is great. Easy to order and a chill vibe. Staff is friendly. Bathrooms are clean as is the entire space. Great place to settle down for a few hours or get a quick drink.”
“I stopped in in early afternoon to enjoy some afternoon wine, and it did not disappoint. The wine was delicious. I did the Taser and then had a glass of one of my favorites. The waitress was amazing and the live music was an added bonus definitely a spot I will go back to.”
“FANTASTIC burritos. Excellent food! Great people working here. Super friendly. I had the super quesadilla last time I went and it was HEAVEN. They got self serve chips and salsa which is nice.”
“I loved this place! Great atmosphere and a totally great staff! Had a great time with friends from out of town, it couldn't have been better! Good food, great drinks, and a view to boot!”
“I wasn't expecting to eat at the restaurant at all but the weather that evening led me and my friends to give it a try. Menu has a great selection full of authentic Mandarin dishes.”
“A beautiful and spacious restaurant ... All the staff ... Waiters ... Waitresses were so nice polite and very attentive ... Will be back during my next trip to The Peninsula ...”

“The Presidio of Monterey is a active military base that also is the home of the Defense Language Institute. This base sits up on the hilltop and has some of the most spectacular views of the Monterey Bay. The Presidio has a very old history that dates back to the early Spanish settlers and Missionaries that discovered our beautiful state. This base requires visitors to check in at the designated gates with ID, etc. There's definitely plenty of interesting things to see like the Sloat Monument, part of the Berlin wall and a Russian tank from WWll . Many active duty military stationed at the Presidio consider it as paradise.”
“food here is it's always good, as far as fast food goes. Open 24 hours ,everything is always Hot ?. To me that's important When your dealing with fast food .Noone wants fast food that's even been sitting 5 minutes! So it's nice getting hot just cooked food , and the staff is always nice. Super great when it's late .”

“I adore this shop! They always make my drinks perfect, have me sample to make sure it is just right. I don't like my drinks too sweet and they always make them PERFECT ?Thank you always ?”

“A very nice shop with friendly staff, very good specialties coffee (had two flat white)and a really tasty croissant (Sammys Croissant) with egg, avocado, cheese and ham. 100% recommended. Really nice place.”
“Delicious, authentic, fresh, and friendly service. The flavors were amazing. Everything came out quickly. The mild ramen is still spicy for kids, be warned. The chicken rice bowl would be a better option if you have kids. We loved it and will be back the next time we’re in town!”
“The food is absolutely amazing, especially for the price. I haven't been able to find a better quesabirria taco in Monterey. The service is always very friendly, they're more stand-off-ish so if you don't like casual dining this might not be your place to go. They're very nice though. They ALWAYS have good music playing. There aren't a whole lot of tables so be cautious about visiting while they're busy. Fortunately this is a great to-go meal! I highly recommend this restaurant to any resident or traveler alike!”
“Lots of pizza options as well as some non-pizza options, perfect for lunch! Gelato selection is also very niceParking: We parked in the paid lot near the aquarium and walked over but this place has free parking if you weren't planning on going to the aquarium as wellWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking and plenty of space at tables for wheelchair users”
“The food was amazing and flavorful! The spice levels were also perfect, a dish labeled as spicy was actually spicy. I’d highly recommend the panang curry and drunken noodles : )”
“Was recommended by a friend and it exceeded expectations. The selection of Turkish delights was amazing, there were flavor combinations I could never imagine. Bought a six flavor sampler box and now already planning which flavors to get next. A real gem.”
“The baked wings here are so good! The pizza was perfect as the crust was not too thin or thick. Just the right amount of cheese too. The restaurant is small but the staff are helpful and explain what you are ordering. It is a great take out place but very cute if you want to dine in. I would highly recommended.”
“I live in the area and walked in last week for the first time. The burgers are really good! Not the best burger of your life, but very delicious and fully customizable! We walked in hungry and left very satisfied. The service was spectacular. Very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth it! ?? Will return with friends!Vegetarian options: Veggie Burger!”
“This market is a great place to get some middle eastern groceries that can be harder to find. A great selection. They also make really delicious food that is made to order, but still quick and very delicious. And, very conveniently, they have a great selection of vegan options on the menu, including falafel, bread, hummus, baba ganoush, salads, lentil stew, and stuffed grape leaves.”
“Best juices & smoothies in town! I never knew I could taste if an ingredient is fresh when it's blended or juiced till now. Yes I could make my own smoothie at home but it just isn't the same Make sure to sign up for their rewards program! Worth every penny.”
“EXCEPTIONAL! We arrived almost by chance at this place attached to the Monterey garrison and it was a fantastic surprise! Authentic and welcoming place in a US Army but extremely familiar atmosphere! It would feel like we were eating at home if it weren't for the fact that we tasted the best burger we've tried so far in the States! The owner is an exquisite person…! highly recommended!”
“Gorgeous place. We found this place at one of our Monterey trip. Loved my delicious lavender vanilla oatmilk latte. Amazing coffee house with lots of space and good energy entice me to return!”
“Wow, what a delicious, healthy lunch I had today from Terra Superfoods. I ordered a Cypress grain bowl and it was literally perfection. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Greens, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, red onion, olives, cucumbers, mint and perfectly cooked quinoa with a zesty lime dressing, vegan tzatziki and hummus. Yummy yummy. The hummus was fantastic, smooth and flavorful. I also appreciate that all the sauces/dressing were in separate containers on the side.I actually felt healthier just by eating this meal. I ? recommend giving this local business a try. I'll have to check out some of the other things they have to offer. 10/10Vegetarian options: Vegan from what I can tell. Nothing sneaky ?”

“I bought a latte, took white sugar, Went in again in a few minutes.Me: can I have more sugarMasked Woman:yes which oneMe: the regular kindMasked Woman: white?Me: yesShe turned around took a few white, looked back at me, her eyes smiled knowingly, took a few brown too, handed them to me smiling.I smiled back at her.I loved her brown sugar in the latte.I am visiting the USA as a tourist. “We are pretty loyal Carl's Jr people but this is our favorite. The manager Maggie and the others like Ruth and Nela always take good care of us and make us feel welcome.”
“I love eating here. The honey walnut shrimp is my favorite! We've eaten here twice, and i can't wait to go back. The servings are great for the price! It's clean and kid friendly. The staff are friendly as well. It's right next to trader Joe's and across is Chipotle. The parking isn't that bad either.”
“Taco Bell is the goat of late night deliciousness. I’ve stopped in to this location from time to time on my many Monterey trips and it’s a beacon of awesome in the night. Whether you want something sweet like a Cinnabon bite or savory like a cheesy Gordita crunch, they got you covered. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Will definitely be back.”
“I didn't catch the names of the two working the food window, but the two women working the food window on April 20th at 9 o'clock were absolutely awesome. The food was awesome and the service was great! I loved the energy of these two workers!!”

Cozy feel.”

“Great Sandwiches! Warning, it’s Cash Only! But good value and maybe the best sandwiches in town. Recommend the Turkey Club.On a side note, after not being able to eat for two days after minor surgery, as you can imagine I was starving. My first choice of food was Randy’sTurkey Club. I ordered two with the real intention of having one later in the day for dinner. I failed! Both gone within an hour of one another. I think that’s a testament to their food. Enjoy!”
“So I'll start with the positivity."The works" bacon breakfast burrito was excellent, potatoes cooked perfectly with great flavor and homemade salsa flavor bomb. Wife said her breakfast tacos were delicious same positivity on her food.Moving on to the drinks, my wife loved the orange juice however $6 for about 8oz is a little bold. I bought a $7 latte which didn't offend me by price because in all the pictures it came in a Bowl! And I was actually excited about that however they didn't have any clean bowls at the time so they gave me a regular mug which was at least only have the size and charged me full price. When I asked about it she explained and said she would remake it for me but never did, and still charged full price.I can get by all that but my son ordered the buttermilk pancakes and they didn't give him syrup we had to ask not that big of deal, then after he said he was done eating my wife went to sample his pancakes and noticed the middle of the cakes still had batter in them, not cooked fully. My son is only 11 and just didn't know any better he thought because it said buttermilk that that was normal lol, the restaurant took off $6 from the $12 price and gave him a free cookie however, one staffer tried to suggest they may have been a little undercooked I don't appreciate trying to justify it just comes off as a disagreement and there was nothing to dispute. Also if you want to make amends for a partially raw pancake you mark it completely off the bill, especially considering I only got a half coffee ?.If I could go 3.8 I would again our items tasted great just some key misses in decorum.”
“Great casual Mexican restaurant. They were so welcoming and the homemade tortilla chips and salsa were perfect. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed the homemade tortillas and delicious breakfast. Fantastic gem with parking right out front. Stop in and give Mondo a try.”
“Incredible and accommodating service! Just enough food that we didn't have to bother with takeout. Definitely better than Dennys! I recommend this place for some old school grandma comfort food. Sweet people too!”
“What a great secret location in Monterey...I have been hearing about the hamburgers here since my kids were at Monterey High School...finally got my cheeseburger and fries - SO GOOD!!”
“We had Sea Harvest years ago when we visited Monterey and decided to return because we had fond memories. Food was amazing. Batter was crispy for fried foods, and fish, shrimp, was fresh and plump. I preferred the garlic butter over Cajun flavor. We loved it so much we came back for lunch the next day!”
“Gyro bowl is the way to go! My favorite thing there, they pack the bowls enough for two meals. I typically share it wit my son. The chicken is always super tender and loaded with alot of meat. The spicy yogurt sauce is my favorite. The rice is always perfectly cooked and I always get extra rice. The service is always super fast, Its way better option for fast food. Nice and clean inside.”
“It's our first time visiting this place and won't be our last. The food was great but we truly appreciate good customer service and this was amazing and genuine kindness. We'll be back!”
“Lopez Taqueria in Monterey Bay is a hidden gem for Mexican food enthusiasts. The authentic flavors and mouthwatering dishes make it a must-visit culinary destination. From their flavorful tacos to scrumptious burritos, every bite is a delightful explosion of taste. The friendly and welcoming staff add to the overall dining experience, ensuring you feel right at home. The restaurant's cozy ambiance and attention to detail make it the perfect spot for a delicious and satisfying meal. If you're craving Mexican cuisine that hits all the right notes, Lopez Taqueria is the place to be in Monterey Bay.”
“Chili verde is great! And I absolutely love the homemade flour tortillas! But the burrito now only comes with meat, rice, and beans so anything extra will cost you (cheese, salsa, lettuce, etc). And don’t come here SUPER hungry because they are pretty small, but so is the price.”
“The Chile verde breakfast burrito was phenomenal! The whole family liked what they ordered, and it wasn't ridiculously overpriced like a lot of the other places in the area.”
“Great food , affordable, they have desserts , cookies, cakes, lunch specials sandwiches, soups, salads, and great coffee drinks and now the bakery is open 7 days of week from 6:30am to 2:00pm”
“Stopped here because there was a higher rated place in the area that had a line out the door. We decided to try here and agreed the line here should be out the door and around the corner.Had one of their twice baked pistachio beads, a chai tea latte and a kimchi cheddar scone.Everything we got was a knock out of the park. They somehow got flavors that are normally more mild to really stand out. Some of the best bread I've ever had.To put it simply. Bakery do bread good”
“let me tell you! i haven’t been here in months and it was as great as the last time! i was helped by a very sweet young female that looked in her teen years! i wasn’t able to catch her name but she has a beautiful red rosary! her customer service is great and really good communication skills! she gave a great recommendation to try and let me tell you, i enjoyed every bite of it. love the whole group ! not to mention, supee respectful ! will be coming back soon ! ??✨”
“I can recommend for a super casual meal. I had the quesadilla supreme. Packed with chopped beef, refried beans, sour cream, lettuce and pico de gallo. Cheese could've been more prominent but overall a gigantic dish that I shared one third of with my boyfriend and ate mostly with a fork. Boyfriend had the two soft tacos plate. Again, a lot to eat. He liked all of it. This is a tiny spot, with three tables. Most business seems to be takeout. But it's clean, the cooks/counter staff were friendly. This is the north end of Cannery Row, next to a garage and across from two hotels.”
“The food was amazing and flavorful! The spice levels were also perfect, a dish labeled as spicy was actually spicy. I’d highly recommend the panang curry and drunken noodles : )”

Unlimited choices- all above average. I recommend the chocolate - moist and one of the best I've ever had.Cookies and pies as well.Solid staff, nice seats, all good.”

“My family and I ate at El Torito for lunch while on vacation. We were seated but had to wait awhile for a waiter. Our food was pretty good overall. The waiter tried his best but was too busy to be as attentive as he should have been…not his fault, more staffing was needed. The bathrooms also needed to have some cleaning done to them.”
“We celebrated our anniversary here and asked for window seats overlooking Monterey Bay. They fulfilled our request and even had special menus printed acknowledging our anniversary! Mark, our server, was attentive without hovering and made excellent menu suggestions. Get the sweet and spicy halibut (chef's kiss!). They also have an extensive wine list. Finished the evening with their signature dessert, the hot lava cake. Yum!!! All in all, a wonderful place to celebrate.”
“We had Sea Harvest years ago when we visited Monterey and decided to return because we had fond memories. Food was amazing. Batter was crispy for fried foods, and fish, shrimp, was fresh and plump. “Beautiful spot to stop on the way back to the Sea Otter Classic! Food was good, the California style of a steak & cheese sandwich was nice. The fries were tastey. The outdoor seating area was lovely.”
“My wife and I had a great anniversary dinner. Everyone was extremely friendly and attentive, in particular our waiter, Ruben. We had the sea bass and the cioppino and both were very good. We plan on returning and would recommend it. Dress was casual as it is right on Fisherman's Wharf towards the far end.”
“Amazing food and service. My husband and I have started coming to Whaling Station every anniversary and now we returned as newlyweds. The service was amazing, food was incredible (cucumber cooler drink was to die for ). MUST TRY MONTEREY DATE NIGHT RESTAURANT.”
“The food is 5-star. The rest is 4-star. The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. 3 Tapas plates and a dessert were enough for 2 of us. Try the Basque Cheesecake.”
“I always love to eat here when visiting Monterey. The chowder is really good! I always love to get the hush pups as an appetizer as well. The views are great and service is always great! Jairo took care of us last time we were there and I can’t say enough about what great service we received!”
“We have lived in Monterey for many years and we pride ourselves on having eaten at all the best restaurants in the Peninsula but, in terms of service and hospitality, no one has ever come close to the service and hospitality we have gotten from your server, Leikin. The food? Well, everybody in Monterey (and the likes) knows the food at Hula’s is fabulous, but what makes it feel exceptionally special is your staff, and heads and shoulders above the rest is Leikin. She has served us on more than one occasion and every time she has made my wife’s and I visit memorable and above and beyond our best expectations. You should really be commended and feel lucky for having such a professional, charming and accommodating employee like Leikin. She is one of the reasons we walk the couple of blocks from our house to have dinner at Hula’s once a week.”
“Cool little spot specializing in pasta, with a seafood centric menu. Stopped here after the aquarium. Service was phenomenal, nice childrens menu for the little ones, and pretty fun cocktail list. I got the special, chipotle honey chicken pasta it was really good. My wife got the chicken parm. Very generous servings. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Elevator to second floor”
“The food was not bad. It lacked a bit on flavor but it wasn't bad. Also heads up if you order hashbrowns they come full of onions so if that isn't for you then don't order them as the menu doesn't specify they have them.”
“Stopped by here before boarding for whale watching, waited on by Shanel in the bar. She was delightful and let us know a big party just came in and we may have a bit of a wait...we only waited for about 10 minutes and our food was bagged and "boat" ready. Fish sandwich and fries were delicious, will definitely be back to explore the menu! Four stars only because the gentlemen host in the front was very standoffish, maybe because we were ordering to go, nevertheless not very welcoming.”
“Great food , affordable, they have desserts , cookies, cakes, lunch specials sandwiches, soups, salads, and great coffee drinks and now the bakery is open 7 days of week from 6:30am to 2:00pm”
“The food was honestly great! I ordered the fish and chips with halibut and it was delicious. Wife enjoyed her meal as well. Nice ocean view table was a nice touch as well!”
