“This was the best restaurant I never ate in. Lemme explain. My superwonderul-one-in-a-million friend is in Monterey visiting her sister and bro-in-law there. (Actually they live in Chico, CA but they drove down to Monterey for the weekend.) So, says I, "Why not try Sardine Factory? (I live in Albuquerque, but hey, Diana is my superwonderul-one-in-a-million friend...oops, I already said that... and she is in CA, visiting from Albuquerque). So I called Sardine Factory and spoke to Mary and she took my credit card number and the rest is history. THANK YOU MARY! Diana, my friend, said it was a "10." "Staff was fantatic."in the Conservatory. "The waiter tied a bib" on her. The best meal I ever had... from 1,00 miles away. Mary, you are the sweetest person in the world! But Diana loved it, and that what matters the most. Oh, she had cioppino (see photo) and her sister had "delicious" seafood pasta and her bro in law had sea bass ("very good"). So Mary, and Sardine Factory, you made people very happy this evening. But that is what you do. God bless.“

“I had done a search for the best clam chowder in Monterey and they are at the top of almost every list, and they were right! I got the clam chowder in the garlic sourdough bowl I highly recommend them! My wife, Michele got risotto with caramelized onions, shrimp and sole. We had a view of Monterey Bay and some sea lions playing. Our server, Giovanny, was phenomenal! He brought Michele a piece of complimentary cheesecake and a rose for her birthday. 🌹 I had the chocolate creme brûlée. Great start to our mini-vacay in Monterey!“

“Monterey Fish House was one of the highlights of my trip! I ordered the raw oysters and a seafood pasta, and both were excellent. The oysters were incredibly fresh, clean-tasting, and the perfect way to start the meal. The seafood pasta was just as impressive, loaded with fresh seafood, perfectly cooked, and served in a huge portion that was definitely worth the price. You can tell they don’t skimp on quality or quantity.

The restaurant has a welcoming, local feel, and the food speaks for itself. If you’re in Monterey and looking for fresh seafood, this is a spot you shouldn’t miss. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town!“

“Had a fantastic experience at Lighthouse Bistro Global Cuisine! One of the things that stood out to us was that they offer halal lamb and chicken options. We ordered the Pomegranate Chicken and an off-the-menu lamb kabob, and both dishes were outstanding.
The chicken was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, while the lamb kabob was perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious. The seasoned vegetables were done just right, and the rice was cooked to perfection, making the entire meal feel balanced and satisfying.
The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit, and parking was easy and convenient right outside the restaurant.

“It was lovely sitting next to a window on the water. You could watch the birds, otters and seals play. The food was delicious. They gave us a free coupon for fried calamari with a main dish, so we shared a mixed grill of seafood & Vegetables. Then we each ordered a bowl of clam chowder.“

“This restaurant is slightly cheaper than surrounding restaurants that offer basically the same food.

The calamari wasn't mind blowing but still very tasty. I didn't get the usual fishy smell from it. Wasn't too chewy. Neutral flavor and clean bite. The cocktail sauce they had on the side paired well with it.

For a takeout place right before peak lunch traffic, this place was slow. Food took about 15 minutes to come out. It was hot and delicious though.

This is very much a take out restaurant. Even if you decide to sit at the limited seating they have both in and outside the restaurant, you're still given food in a takeout container.“

The chef was willing to substitute mushrooms for meat on a pasta dish that ended up being my favorite entree I've ever had. They were also able to fit us in without a reservation both times. I only wish the menu was bigger, but it does change regularly.“

They were so right ... the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch! Our server, Serena, was an absolutely delightful young lady and helped us order a selection of foods that were all amazing! The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water offered spectacular views. Next time we visit the area, there will definitely be a return trip to Lalla Grill!“

“The clam chowder, I can not say enough about this wonderful dish. This was hands down the best I've ever had. Every spoonful had clam in it. The texture was perfect. I alao had the red snapper special, with fettuccine al fredo, and vegetable medley. The fish was fried perfectly and very flavorful. Overall, I was highly pleased with my experience. Ada friendly for a knee rover, good variety of food options, live music at night is actually enjoyable and tables in the back allow you to enjoy it without it being to loud where you can still have a conversation. Great location, one of the few places open late, and good casual solid dining for late night by the ocean. The halibut may be a standout but remember, it is a bottom feeder.
