“Our visit to Stoke's Adobe last weekend produced the best meal I've had on The Peninsula in a decade! Restauranteur, Sarah Orr, has hit one out of the park. The dishes prepared by Executive Chef, Bryce Hansen, were flawless, my favorties being the seared scallops and truffle chicken. Loved the nod to former occupant and socialite, Hattie Gragg, with the inclusion of the Hattie's Old Fashioned on the cocktail menu :) Looking forward to our next visit and an opportunity to sample other items on their ever evolving menu.“

“I first visited this amazing local deli in 1989-1990. I remembered the half loaves of bread stacked high with a pile of my choice of meats and cheeses. Although I was only 18-19, Compagno’s established my standard for an amazing sandwich. 32 years later I brought my sons here for lunch. Same delicious goodness a generation later.“

“We ordered a key lime pie for our daughter’s wedding and it couldn’t have been any more perfect, absolutely beautiful!!! We actually ordered another one from another bakery as insurance and Parker Lusseau’s was the top taste favorite by all of us. “Had a fantastic experience at Lighthouse Bistro Global Cuisine! One of the things that stood out to us was that they offer halal lamb and chicken options. We ordered the Pomegranate Chicken and an off-the-menu lamb kabob, and both dishes were outstanding.
The chicken was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, while the lamb kabob was perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious. The seasoned vegetables were done just right, and the rice was cooked to perfection, making the entire meal feel balanced and satisfying.
The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit, and parking was easy and convenient right outside the restaurant.

“Great social place to get great beer. Definitely dog friendly, lots of seating inside and out. The food comes from a food truck in the back. They have canned beer to-go along with growlers and other options for their on-draft beer also. Located it the old train depot with some great historic photos of the area.“

The fries were excellent as well, and the homemade spicy BBQ sauce took everything to another level. The classic American atmosphere made the whole experience even more authentic. “We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.“

What stood out most was how genuinely excited he was for our marriage and wedding day. It never felt like “just another event” from him. We could feel that he truly cared and wanted everything to be special for us.
