“We were visiting from out of town and the bartender Mike was super friendly and chatted with us as if we were regulars. He is also clearly passionate about beers and basically gave us a tasting lesson to help us decide which beer we wanted for a full pour. Even after picking our beers, he had us try more. It was a great experience, and we even decided to get some to take home.“

“We came back for a second visit, and it confirmed why we wanted to return. The food was just as good as the first time fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. It’s hard to find a place that’s this consistent, but Alvarado Street Brewery definitely delivers.
A special shoutout to our server, James. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. His great attitude and excellent service made an already great experience even better.
If you’re in Monterey and looking for great food, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere, I highly recommend stopping by. Two visits in, and they’ve definitely earned a repeat customer. We’ll absolutely be back again!“
“This is a great place to grab a casual bite to eat — with amazing beer! We came with our kids and they all had a good time. The food was delicious and they even have unique and tasty mocktails. The outdoor space is nice and protected from the elements as it sits in the middle of the Carmel Plaza. We always love coming here and taking our friends visiting from out-of-town too!“

“Had an excellent experience at Alvarado Street Brewery. The Classic Smash Burger is honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and absolutely worth ordering.
A special shoutout to our server, Andreas. He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and fast throughout our visit. He made great recommendations, answered all of our questions, and provided outstanding service from start to finish.
