“We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.“

“We went to Mountain Mike's on the recommendation of one of my coworkers, and I'm very happy we did. The staff were very friendly and were very patient as we considered all of our options. We decided to split a large Everest with no mushrooms, and it was fantastic. The employee also offered to substitute the mushrooms for another topping, instead of just removing them, which I've never had a pizza place do. We went on a Tuesday, and there was a deal on a large specialty pizza that brought our total with 2 soft drinks to just $30. The dining room was clean, and the booths were spacious. The standout aspect of this place is how fresh everything tasted. I'm not sure how ordering delivery would affect the experience, but eating it fresh was delicious. There aren't any Mountain Mike's where we are visiting from, but whenever we visit, it'll definitely be one of our stops for an easy lunch or dinner.“

“Best pizza we’ve had hands down. Family owned, cooked fresh, and it just hits better than anything. We make a point to come here when we’re in Monterey and I’d encourage everyone to do the same!!!“

“We had the Tavern burger and meatloaf and it was amazing! They weren’t super busy on the Friday we went. Only critique is that service could have been better as they forgot our drink order and request for sauce. Definitely recommend visiting if you’re in the area.“

“Stayed in Cannery Row for a few nights and came into Monterey to walk around and grab a bite. Very happy with our pizza, Caesar salad (huge!) and pasta. You order at the counter and sit down, but someone still came out to get us waters and check on us a couple of times. Quick service on a Monday evening.“
