Plus, they offer gluten-free pizzas, which meant my nephew visiting from Argentina could eat happily. We really enjoyed dining here with my family from Argentina; it is highly recommended and a place to return to again and again whenever you visit Carmel.“

“We recently visited Carmel and were craving Italian food, so we decided to try Allegro Pizzeria since it was conveniently close to our hotel—and we’re so glad we did! This charming local spot has a warm, low-key, inviting atmosphere that immediately made us feel comfortable. You can tell it’s a favorite among locals, not just tourists, which is always a great sign.
The restaurant was very clean, neat, and welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Our waiter, Evan, took wonderful care of us—friendly, attentive, and prompt without making us feel rushed.
As for the food—delicious! We started with the calamari appetizer, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I enjoyed the lasagna, rich and comforting with classic Italian flavor. The shrimp and scallop pasta in a butter and wine sauce was absolutely wonderful—fresh seafood and a beautifully balanced sauce. Our son loved his pizza, which was fun, cheesy, and hit the spot. We also appreciated the soup, salad, and fresh bread that rounded out the meal.
Parking was plentiful, though we loved that it was an easy walk from our hotel. If you’re visiting Carmel and looking for a casual, delicious Italian restaurant with great service, Allegro Pizzeria is definitely worth a visit!“

“We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.“

“We went to Mountain Mike's on the recommendation of one of my coworkers, and I'm very happy we did. The staff were very friendly and were very patient as we considered all of our options. We decided to split a large Everest with no mushrooms, and it was fantastic. The employee also offered to substitute the mushrooms for another topping, instead of just removing them, which I've never had a pizza place do. We went on a Tuesday, and there was a deal on a large specialty pizza that brought our total with 2 soft drinks to just $30. The dining room was clean, and the booths were spacious. The standout aspect of this place is how fresh everything tasted. I'm not sure how ordering delivery would affect the experience, but eating it fresh was delicious. There aren't any Mountain Mike's where we are visiting from, but whenever we visit, it'll definitely be one of our stops for an easy lunch or dinner.“

“My family was in town for the weekend and we wanted some Italian food in PG. First we tried La Mia Cucina, but we were turned away because we didn't have reservations. We then walked across the street to International Cuisine. There we were fully accommodated and felt most welcome! There was a wide selection of Italian food and many other options as well! The food was wonderful and we even had a magician preform at our table. Wonderful experience! Will definitely come back!“

My hands malfunctioned (probably because I spent all day clenching the steering wheel while my wife relaxed in the passenger seat) and I dropped a slice on the floor on accident and he gave me a new pizza. “We were visiting Carmel by the sea and couldn’t find a restaurant in the area with less than an hour wait. We found CPK and it did not disappoint! We had 3 pizzas (BBQ, Margherita & pepperoni) and the Chicken Piccata. Everything tasted great but my favorite was the BBQ pizza. The brisket & sweet BBQ was very tasty! We also ordered the churro swirl dessert and it was very tasty! Our server did take a little while to greet us & take our drink order and we had to ask for refills a couple of times but overall, she was friendly and helpful“
