My wife and I will be paying a visit to the Presidio in a few weeks. We have many fond memories there from 1986/1987 when I was a Polish student and she was a Czech student, both of us U.S. Army. We met there and were married in Pacific Grove on our lunch hour. In our minds it's a magical place (and a superb language school) that expanded our horizons. We're returning to the U.S. after many years overseas.

The Presidio of Monterey is a historic military base with stunning views of the Monterey Bay. Visitors must check in at designated gates with ID. The base features attractions like the Sloat Monument, a section of the Berlin Wall, and a Russian tank from WWll. Active duty military stationed here consider it paradise. The IHG on the Presidio offers clean, comfortable two-room suites with beautiful bay views. Guests can enjoy a park-like setting with deer roaming freely. Former post commanders and command Sargent Majors have made this base a special place.
