“They have several vegetarian dishes. I got the Buddha's delight and it was very good. My husband got the kung pao tofu and said it was really good. The staff was very polite, friendly, and helpful--and the food came very fast. Nice place! We'll come again.“

“I’ve been eating Chinese food for a long long time anywhere from France to Canada and of course, here in the United States this particular restaurant is nothing special to look at. Yes the booths are comfortable. It’s completely old-school it took a little while for us to get our meal delivered to our table, but when it got to our table, everything was clearly made fresh and super delicious! You could hear the chef or chefs working back there with their woks. we ordered three typical Chinese dishes. The egg foo yong was filled with barbecue pork and tons of fresh vegetables. Mostly bean sprouts and crispy hot and delicious my favorite dish as I tried to order beef with snow peas. The waitress said that they were sorry, but I think didn’t have snow peas today so we just switched it up to fresh green beans with sliced beef with a little bit of onion and garlic in there for lots of flavor! My favorite dish of the evening. Rounding it out was vegetarian fried rice so all vegetables and of course egg in a superbly made fried rice. Sorry if I’m long-winded, but any time that I might find myself in Monterey California, I will go back to the spot maybe try a new dish, but definitely get the green beans with sliced beef. I hope you guys take my heed and give it a try! Oh, one more thing, the prices were very reasonable in today’s world 😋😎❤️“

“I thought it was a bit expensive for take out but when I got home it was the best food I have ever picked up and am really excited to try new items in store since the take out was so good. It was also extremely easy to just call in and order they let me pay when I picked it up. I ended up taking a printed menu home since they offer them!“

“I absolutely love Happy Dragon Family Restaurant in Monterey! Their Moo Goo Gai Pan is one of my go-to dishes, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. The fried rice is also fantastic and pairs so well with everything on the menu. Honestly, everything I’ve tried has been consistently delicious, served hot, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality. What makes the experience even better is the family who owns and runs the restaurant. They are always so kind, welcoming, and fun, it truly feels like you’re part of their extended family when you walk in. Great food, great people, and a place I’ll keep coming back to! “I love eating here. The honey walnut shrimp is my favorite! We've eaten here twice, and i can't wait to go back. The servings are great for the price! It's clean and kid friendly. The staff are friendly as well. It's right next to trader Joe's and across is Chipotle. The parking isn't that bad either.“

I particularly loved the noodle dish, which was packed with colorful broccoli and tender pieces of meat. Each plate was portioned generously, making it a perfect spot for a satisfying lunch. I will definitely be back soon to try more of their menu.“

“Decem and QQ gave us the BEST service we have EVER received. No exaggeration. They provided our group with such a wonderful experience and ALL of our food was amazing. We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). Above all, they treated us like family. We will absolutely be having more family dinners here. If you are reading reviews to see where you should go to eat this is THE place to go. P.S. “My family and I have been coming to The Orient for over 10 years. This place is the best. It's run by the same family and the deliciousness of their food hasn't changed either. The beef Pho is great, best around I think. I really like their fried rice, salt pepper squid and egg foo young. Pretty much everything here is good. Their lunch specials are deal too.“

“We found this place by accident while visiting the local farmers' market and started craving Chinese food.

I knew it was going to be good Chinese when I saw the kid working behind the counter. We were pleasantly surprised by the experience, as my wife and I have not had great Chinese food in a long time.

We highly recommend the orange chicken, as they use high-quality white meat rather than the fatty, greasy slop many other Chinese restaurants seem to use.

“Lucky Bamboo is open for takeout during the Coronavirus shutdown. My wife and I got takeout last night. We had chicken chow mein, beef with asparagus, and chicken with black mushrooms. The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. The person who helped me was very friendly and appreciative to have the business.“

“I am a tourist. I usually don't write review, but I have let people know this little gem. It is a great value to eat at this restaurant. Food is perfect for Cantonese or Hong Kong people. Black bean beef, sweet and sour pork, Cantonese rice noodle exceeded our expectations. Egg roll is not the burrito style, but a regular Chinese style, so you know the chef cares about food quality. Chicken fried rice was a little bit blended but still very tasty. Comparing to Panda Express and other local American Chinese restaurants, this place easily beat them. The dinning area and restroom are clean. I wonder how they make money with such affordable meals, nice and clean interior, high quality of food as well as good service. We will go there again if we are in town.“

“We were looking for a place that offered seafood without breaking the bank. This was the place. We got our seafood fix with shrimp bags and crawfish bags and the others in our group who don't like seafood were able to get Chinese food. Win win for everyone.“
