“My friends and I were headed to a different Chinese restaurant in Marina, but saw Ho-Wah and entered it. Boy were we glad! We were greeted, told what are the specials and delighted to note that the chef is popular for his vegan cuisine. We had egg rolls busting with veggies and crisp edamames for appetizers. The stir fried asparagus was out of the world! Garlic eggplant was perfectly flavored. The Hong Kong noodles were pan fried and we didn't feel guilty eating it. The sesame bun dessert was out of this world good!!! The owner was very friendly and food was made fresh and served fast. Other notable thing was the cleanliness of the bathroom being exceptionally clean. Highly recommend this gem in Marina!“
“We were craving some Asian food during our stay in town and I'm glad we found this place. The food tasted fresh and delicious, service was spot on. My favorite dish was walnut shrimp and salt pepper fish. Portions were surprisingly big too. This place exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it.“
“Excellent Service! Wonderful and fresh food! This is my second time here and it did not disappoint, I will definitely be back again. This was my first time having the lunch special and was so happy with the flavor, freshness, quality and quantity of the food. Took a pic after taking a few bites of food. but“
“Noodle House is one of my favorite spots in Salinas. We have been coming here since 2011, when we first moved to the area. Their pho is among the best I've had, and I never get anything else. The service is great; everyone is friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!“
“Love this little hidden pink gem located on Park Row in South Salinas near the Bagel Corner. They have great weekly lunch specials two people can share a plate as they serve Large servings. My favorite lunch combo is the noodles with kung pao shrimp. They are also one of the few restaurants open late in the area. Go give it a try!!!“
“Ok we went back. I am adding a star. This is because although it wasn't perfect, it def hit the spot. It was also good warmed up the next day. This is what we got this time. Sesame beef- this is all beef no onions or other fillers. It is breaded and a little tough, but was very good warmed up the next day Tommy special chow mein- too salty, but overall not bad Potstickers- not my favorite filling. Not bad. Walnut shrimp- amazing. Served with orange slices. Sweet and sour pork- mushy but a good flavor We went later in the day this time and the place was empty. Also, we were treated by a kind gentleman.“
“BEST CHINESE FOOD IN MONTEREY COUNTY! We are from Santa Barbara and when we think of Monterey we think of The Great Wall restaurant and how we can't wait to go back! EVERYTHING is DELICIOUS! No matter what you order you won't be disappointed! Service is AMAZING and personal. Very family friendly environment! They even work hard to please your little ones if they're restless like ours. The value is also on point. Not too expensive considering the QUALITY of food that they serve. This will be your new favorite spot! 100% RECOMMENDED!“
“We visited this restaurant during Easter. We ordered Full Moon seafood, Mu shu pork and potsticker. All were very tasty. Portions are quite big, enough to feed two adults and 2 kids. Price was also very reasonable with an excellent service. Overall good dining experience“
“The food was really good! They have both Chinese and American choices, but we went there for Chinese so that's what we got. My friend and I got a two person mea and it was a lot of food! Totally worth it . The service was fast, we barely had to wait at all for our food to start coming out. It's in a strip mall but the atmosphere is cozy.“
“Can't go wrong with Li Yuen. Good food generous servings and consistent quality food. Fast service and it's something special when a family has owned a place like this for so many years. Their chow main is the absolute best. All that cabbage (without having to ask for it) yummm Noodles will get you there everything else will keep you coming back“
“We have coming here since it changed hands. We really enjoyed the previous owners and the new owners are keeping up with expectations. We usually get takeout and they are always very happy to help us get everything in the car.The food very good, including the Mongolian beef, snow peas and bbq pork, wonton soup and the house fried rice to name a few.Give them a try. I think you’ll like this place.“
“Haven’t had good green lip mussels in a long time. Here these were excellent with Cajun spice…medium spicy so as to not overpower the mussels. There is so much on the menu I want to try ( Australian lobster tail..difficult to find elsewhere), the clams and the Chinese dishes offered. Don’t drive by this place. Stop in and eat. You will likely love it.“
“Clean space, no frills decorations, because this place is all about the food! Been ordering delivery from here for years and finally stopped by and checked it out.The reason I came by is because the price difference between the website and what I was quoted was off . Turns out their menu on their website needs to updated. We let the staff know, hopefully they update soon so I can change my review to five stars! We love this place!“
“So my family and I live less than a mile from this place and have eaten here with the previous owners as well as the current for years and years. We eat here about once a month and have honestly never had a bad experience. Not sure how they've had so many bad reviews because I love the new owners. We do stick to the same items though so I can only attest to the greatness of what we order. Our go to items are -any kind of chow mein, salt and pepper pork chop or chicken, sweet and sour pork, broccoli/oyster sauce beef, and we do enjoy their honey walnut shrimp as well. Have yet to try their crab boil stuff but maybe one day!“
“Yes, they have new owners for a year or so. I can only review the special noodle/won ton soup since this is my favorite dish here. I requested it with mushrooms and broccoli instead of bok choy, so you decide which you prefer. The broth is so good, it feeds 2 adults as the main meal. The interior is cleaner and the staff is friendly, especially Michelle who has worked here for years. If you want a good chicken noodle soup this is your place!“
“There's a young lady that has worked there since she was 15. Her name is Judy. And with perfection she addresses each customer. Her pleasantly is in matched. The food presentation is unique. The flavors explode in your mouth. Getting back to Judy she is the type of woman you'd like to wrap up and take home. Very beautiful. That and the food will keep you coming back for more.“
“Loved this place. Just the owner and her husband. Will definitely come back again. Going to be my go-to Chinese place in Marina. So thankful my family and I tried it. She was very kind and gave us complimentary tempura. More than enough food for the four of us!!“
