“Decem and QQ gave us the BEST service we have EVER received. No exaggeration. They provided our group with such a wonderful experience and ALL of our food was amazing. We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). Above all, they treated us like family. We will absolutely be having more family dinners here. If you are reading reviews to see where you should go to eat this is THE place to go. P.S. You must try the chicken wings!“

“On the outside it doesn’t look like much. But once inside you are transported to a different place. Murals of the great wall, scenery of chinese myth and legend from the ceiling and the smells of great Chinese food. My wife is Korean and she loves that they cook foods that also cater to their tastes.
I have tried many many dishes here and I will say i have never been disappointed. Go get some delicious food. You’ll be happy!
I forgot to mention that I was buying takeout for 3 persons. The owners are very generous with the portions and are friends of the community of Marina.“

“You know this place is authentic when you see all the Chinese people eating here for Chinese New Year’s! The owners are so sweet and the food is authentic. I wanted fish for the holiday and she made sure we got the right kind for good luck. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and made such delicious food. I really felt like I was back at home at this restaurant. The owner spoke both Cantonese and Mandarin too, which was so lovely. It’s hard to find an authentic Chinese atmosphere like this on the peninsula. Good vibes. Highly recommend.“

“Absolutely fantastic! Full Moon is just the spot that Alvarado Street needs. The menu was loaded with classic and traditional dishes. We found ourselves enjoying a bowl of hot and sour soup with a side of spicy sauce wantons! It went perfect with a few cups of green tea. To bring everything together we had the Szechuan scallops. Can't get enough of there wood ear mushrooms. 🍄 The service was very professional and we felt cared for throughout our meal. Will be returning soon to try more extravagant dishes.“

“My family and I have been coming to The Orient for over 10 years. This place is the best. It's run by the same family and the deliciousness of their food hasn't changed either. The beef Pho is great, best around I think. I really like their fried rice, salt pepper squid and egg foo young. Pretty much everything here is good. Their lunch specials are deal too.“

“The restaurant is cute with comfy green booths. The service was friendly and efficient. Now the food was excellent. We only had two dishes but wish we had more. Mandarin prawns were perfectly cooked, a very light fry and the sauce was caramelized onto the prawns. Not heavy handed, just perfect. Veggie Singapore noodles were very good. We ordered it without curry sauce and they kindly accommodated us. I can't wait for my next Monterey vacation so I can try more dishes at this joint. Rating should be way higher given the quality of food.“

“My first time here and I've been walking by it for years now. Li Yuen Chinese Restaurant located in Castroville is a small little place with a few tables. They have really good lunch and dinner specials. I got the sweet and sour chicken lunch plate and it came with fried rice, egg roll, soup, and sweet and sour chicken. “Lucky Bamboo is open for takeout during the Coronavirus shutdown. My wife and I got takeout last night. We had chicken chow mein, beef with asparagus, and chicken with black mushrooms. The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. The person who helped me was very friendly and appreciative to have the business.“

On the positive side, the prices are good and the service was very fast. Overall, I’d say it’s better than Panda Express.“

“I absolutely love Happy Dragon Family Restaurant in Monterey! Their Moo Goo Gai Pan is one of my go-to dishes, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. The fried rice is also fantastic and pairs so well with everything on the menu. Honestly, everything I’ve tried has been consistently delicious, served hot, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality. What makes the experience even better is the family who owns and runs the restaurant. “This Panda Express is pretty much what you’d expect. The food is reliable, the flavors are consistent, and most of the time it’s fresh. Every now and then some of the less popular items can sit too long and end up a little cold, but when it’s fresh the flavor is great.

Wait times are usually around 5 to 10 minutes, which isn’t too bad. I usually get the Bigger Plate with Orange Spicy Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, and Beijing Beef, and it always hits the spot.

“We were looking for a place that offered seafood without breaking the bank. This was the place. We got our seafood fix with shrimp bags and crawfish bags and the others in our group who don't like seafood were able to get Chinese food. Win win for everyone.“

“This location is good for late night , but only drive-thru is open. I mostly use the app to order ahead & usually I’m able to get in and out within 5 min or less. Interaction with employees are pleasant and friendly. Depending on the time of day if you dine in can be really busy , although others might not tend to clean their area when done eating . I do clean my area when finished eating & usually the staff is good about cleaning up the dining when need be.

Only suggestion is that their fountain drinks aren’t consistently good. On multiple different visits to this location , the sugar in the soda is very minimal. It’s as if you’re drinking carbonated water with a hint of flavor , so I don’t get drinks from

“I love eating here. The honey walnut shrimp is my favorite! We've eaten here twice, and i can't wait to go back. The servings are great for the price! It's clean and kid friendly. The staff are friendly as well. It's right next to trader Joe's and across is Chipotle. The parking isn't that bad either.“
