“Love the honey walnut shrimp and the pork fried rice was very flavorful. I would also recommend the chow mein. The waiters were polite, I went on a date here so the ambience was decent enough to take someone out or even have a business meeting“
“Japanese, Korean fusion. The food is delicious. On different occasions we’ve ordered delivery and also ate in. I’ve tried about 10 different dishes and everything has been great. The delivered food was well packaged and we had it for dinner a few days in a row. But DoorDash adds a premium so ordering directly gets you more food for the same $.Reservations to eat in aren’t usually necessary. Maybe because they’re new. The staff are professional and friendly. But the atmosphere and fast paced music isn’t conducive for a long visit.“
“It's a very plain classic Chinese restaurant ambiance but it's far from average. Shockingly good fried rice (we got pork fried rice). Skip the chow mein, I've tried it twice and both times it was bland and a little overcooked. They are experts at cooking broccoli; we've tried both the beef as well as the chicken and broccoli. Their spring rolls are also bomb, made perfectly, nice and crispy and you can tell they aren't using rancid oil like some places. For the fried rice alone I will not go to any other place in the Scott's Valley/Felton area. Nice owners too! Def try this place.Parking: Easy access“
“If you are in the mood for Chinese food, go to Tim's Express! It is a small places with excellent food, I highly recommend the Sweet & Sour Pork! Their fried rice tastes fresh and not weighted down by a lot of oil. You will be in and out of their in minutes so you can try the food anywhere!“
“My mom & I recently ordered from their website- unknowingly only a few minutes before they closed. They still graciously made our food with no complaint. The food was very tasty. I got the crab wontons and veggie chow mein, the noodles were thicker than expected but delicious.“
“Soup dumplings are so delicious! They're so good you don't even need any chili oil or anything.A few years ago I stopped eating chow mein because it was always sad cardboard, but here it's delicious and fresh!Did I mention the delicious soup dumplings? The tofu and celery veggie dish was different and tasty, the steamed bao was really yummy and the food all came out super quick.“
“We ended up coming to Santa Cruz when it was rainy so Chinese food sounded great and golden fu wah delivered 100! First of all, this place is cute, with hanging planters, nice windows, and cozy tables. The service was fabulous with the most kind and gracious server - my daughter even said she wished she could give her $100 because she was so kind! We ordered pot stickers and the #2 family meal (soup, egg rolls, fried shrimp, fried rice, chicken chow neon, schezuan chicken, and sweet and sour pork) along with some tea and hot sake. All in all the tab was $55 which is so reasonable for a family of 4! Everything was fresh and delicious, with a good balance of flavor. Overall, I'm so glad we stumbled across this place and would happily come again when in the area!“
“My family and I ate here while we were staying in the Brookdale area for a vacation, and the food here was absolutely amazing. All together we ordered the crab rangoons, veggie egg rolls, sticky red bean buns, Za Jiang beef, and the Singapore rice noodles. All of our dishes were piping hot and delicious, and the portions were very generous! They provide free water and hot tea, which was great after coming in from the cold. The staff are amazing, and Jenny checked on us during our meal and seems like such a wonderful person. I only wish we had discovered this gem sooner so we could come back before our vacation is over. If we're ever back in Santa Cruz county we'll definitely be eating here again!“
“First time ordered food for a takeout. This is kind of a recent addition replacing another Asian place.Pretty decent and untypical menu options. Hot Sesame balls stand on the top of the list followed by scallion pancake and saucy string bean tofu.Another interesting dish was dry deep fried tofu with half filled red chilli peppers. Tasty but totally dry … can have it as an appetizer. Their wide rice noodles were undone… plan to try other items next time. Overall it’s worth considering to dine-in.Vegetarian options: Some veggie options, but they can customize.“
“"I recently visited Canton Restaurant with my family, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Sarah, greeted us with a warm welcome and ensured we felt right at home. The service was impeccable, and Sarah's kindness and friendliness made our dining experience truly memorable. Despite a busy evening with a large group, the kitchen managed to deliver our food promptly, and it was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. The price was more than reasonable considering the amazing service and high quality of the food. I can't recommend Canton Restaurant enough; it's a must-visit for anyone looking for fantastic Chinese cuisine and exceptional service in Santa Cruz."“
“We ordered General Toa Spicy chicken + fried rice with chicken + beef in Black Bean Sauce -and it was all SOO DELICIOUS!!Quality wise but also the way that the tastes were balanced. Very kind and dedicated staff, which is always a nice extra. My husband and I eat a lot of Chinese food all over the world so we're not pleased that easily because of the many many many Chinese dishes we've had throughout the years and continents but this place really deserves the spotlight.“
“The overall experience was good. The place could use a little sprucing up, some new ceiling tiles. The food was really good! Very fresh and yummy. Friendly and kind staff. Would recommend and will go again. Their orange chicken is the best I've ever had.Vegetarian options: You can order any dish with or without meat.Dietary restrictions: They will easily accommodate as needed.“
“It's small, it's cozy, it feels like walking into the diner run by ma and pa. Their menu is simple but has some great options. I'd recommend the beef and beef ball pho. The food gets to your table quickly and everyone i interacted with was polite. An all around wonderful “
“I have been going to Chinese village for years.. I have to admit the prices have gone up, but definitely well worth the money. Family owned for years. Well done.Parking: Plenty of parking in the back same property as the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility perfect first floor.“
“Short review: Good food, quick service, friendly, and clean.Long review:Okay, my photos don't do this place or this food justice. I was too busy enjoying it and was lucky to get any pictures of the food because we dug right in.- Nice, minimalistic setup with lots of wood. Wood floors, some paneling on the walls, and mahogany furniture. I felt like I was in another dimension due to how quiet and serene it was in there, and that is a good thing.Upon receiving the nicely-sized, waterproof-texture menus, we were overwhelmed with a sense of nostalgia trailing back to another spot we miss dearly in the Bay Area. That's beside the point.- I had been looking for Hunan beef [crispy beef] for a while and happened to find it here, per my partner's recommendation. We also got the appetizer combo plate and chow mein - the familiar dish that is easy to screw up at most restaurants but Ming's makes it delicious and comforting. Perfect noodles and perfect rice. Seriously, I feel like I'm at an aunt's house when I eat from here. Reasonable price too, we totally got takeout the next day after coming here for dinner the first time.-I don't understand why people are complaining that the server is mean. I thought she was just straightforward and swift. If you want to be babied, please go back to Texas Roadhouse or Applebee's.“
“Great food.... But do better with delivery. No sauce and no fortune cookies which really upset the kids when everytime you order chinese food the bonus is the fortune cookies. Everything else is great but definitely you gotta do better on the delivery we need soy sauce condiments “
“Every dish is moderately seasoned. The best Chinese food I have eaten in the Bay Area (?) so far is actually in Santa Cruz! The scallion chicken is something I, a person who doesn’t usually eat white rice, enjoy the deliciousness of the scallion rice and the beef bones. Lots of slightly spicy ingredients, highly recommended! Remember to look at the hidden menu hahaha“
“Yan can cook. That's all you need to know. @bushidobitesVegetarian options: They have what you need.Dietary restrictions: Omnitarian (Ōm • ni • tarian) one that eats all food groups. .Parking: Wonderful.Kid-friendliness: Kids would love the friendly vibeWheelchair accessibility: Always“
“Got the Mongolian beef lunch special, I was able to substitute the soup with a little bit extra rice, so hell yeah (I don't like soups much)! The beef was very tinder and good tasting, with a good amount of vegetables without overdoing it. The portion size was pretty decent and worth it. The only things I would change would be the decorations on the windows (so customers can see outside better), and the bathrooms were a tad dilapidated. Overall, I would definitely go here again, and might soon in the future.“
“I usually don’t leave reviews (this is my first one) but my friends and I were looking for a place in Santa Cruz to get some good Chinese food and I’m so glad we came to this place! It’s a convenient location right next to a parking garage so you don’t have to waste time to look for parking and it’s honestly a well kept, clean, family restaurant. The food portions are huge so it’s definitely worth it for sure! I ordered the shrimp fried rice and they definitely did not skimp with the shrimp like a lot of other places would. If you want bomb authentic Chinese food in Santa Cruz this is definitely the place to go! If I hadn’t devoured the teriyaki beef I ordered I would’ve uploaded a picture but overall would definitely come back here if I’m in the area! They have great customer service and were quick to make our takeout order which is really nice. Highly recommend for sure!!“
“We used to live in Santa Cruz and would make the short but out of the way drive to Felton just to eat here. Honestly, the best Chinese food I found in Santa Cruz! Fresh/quality ingredients, yummy and family owned by a super sweet family! Writing this review from San Francisco, where we recently moved to because I'm craving IWok! Even with the plentiful options here, I still reminisce about the crispy chicken, delicious veggie rice, chow fun, crab rangoons and more!!“
“Came in because I was craving phô.. I have to say I was disappointed with the flavor of it so I would not order that particular plate again.. however, their spork spring rolls are really good. I just wish their peanut sauce was a bit thicker... the salt & pepper wings def were the hit of the night. I would go back and order more wings if my stomach could handle it, lol... overall, I had a good experience there, and the staff was friendly.“
“Big shopping center, lots of parking, dining, banking, movie theater, Tesla EV charging stations, Laundromat and many many more business. Scott's Valley Post Office within walking distance. Highly recommend for ALL your shopping needs.Linda F., Santa Cruz, CA 02/12/2024“
