The food tastes great, with good texture, quality ingredients, and good portions. The menu includes lots of delicious pescatarian options, like the salt and pepper shrimp. Fuji Sushi is a top pick in Santa Cruz county for sushi and Japanese food. The fish quality is way above most places, with one of the most diverse menus. The miso soup is the best. The staff are great, helpful, incredibly kind, patient, thoughtful, and genuine. The service is excellent. The restaurant has the same great people alongside new personnel and some new options. All of the produce and meat/tofu is organic. Dishes like the szechuan green beans, basil tofu, and mapo tofu are fresh, hot, and flavorful. Portions are huge and affordable. Sometimes the inside of the restaurant has a weird smell that isn’t from the food.
