Ya gotta go to the Trident Room at the Hotel Del Monte on the Naval Post Graduate School campus/grounds. The building is old and simply amazing. Check out the huge ballroom before going down stairs to the bar at the Trident Room. When we went inside for drinks and appetizers on a Saturday night during Car Week in Monterey County, we were greeted by several bar keeps, waiter/servers and such. Went there on Prime Rib night (Tuesdays). Good was great. Service was friendly. The place had an old pub vibe. The Navy PGS wasn't in session, so it wasn't very crowded when we went.

The Trident Room offers a great atmosphere with a fascinating military heritage and history in the Hotel del Monte.
