Old school restaurant. Great food and lots of it. Junior is a terrific server and the chef did a fantastic job. A fun place for kids or a group to sit together and get a good meal.

Thus was our first time here we came for my husband's birthday and it was an awesome experience. The food was amazing! We had the filet mignon and chicken and salmon they were both grilled perfectly. Our chef Pedro was the best. Thank you to the staff for the great service and atmosphere. Perfect birthday dinner and night out. We will be back !

The food wasn't good. My wife and I will be going back to Sapporo's . They actually cook it much better there. My whole plate was covered in teriyaki sauce which tasted terrible. The cooks don't care how they serve your food to you. Overall I wouldn't go back to that place. It was also very dirty at our table. The plates were not clean and we had to ask for new ones. Sapporos is where everyone should go.

Went here for my little brother and aunt's birthday party. I ordered sushi (I was the only one), and I thought they made the sushi right there in front of you, but I was wrong. I wasn't disappointed, just a little bummed as I watched everyone else's food being made in front of them. The sushi was good, but not the best I'd had. Most importantly, my aunt and brother had a good time and the green tea ice cream was incredible.Wheelchair accessibility: They have an elevator for wheelchairs here beside the staircase.

I was excited to go to Benihana for our Anniversary because they advertised they have gluten free options. I was able to get salad with no dressing no soup and steak and vegetables. I was not once offered the green tea that was supposed to be a part of the meal I ordered, neither was my husband and he is not gluten free. I had to ask 4 times for a glass of water before I finally got one. We told them at least 3 times it was our Anniversary and they finally sang Happy Birthday to the other person at our table celebrating his Birthday. When the waiter came out to ask about dessert I asked him to check if the ice cream was gluten free which he replied it was not but I am pretty sure he didn't check because I was told previously that the chocolate, vanilla and rainbow sherbet was gluten free. I feel way overcharged for the meal I had. My husband's shrimp was burnt.

The cook had no show at all and burned most of the food. Forgot to bring rice or celebrate birthday we informed everyone of. Spoke to manager who took $25 off but whole meal should have been free. Avoid here until it improves.
All 3 stars are for the delicious, yummy and full portions of food. The chicken fried rice was very appetizing! Everything else was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. Of course, we loved the "show," but wish they had new "moves." The down side was the closeness of the seating around the grill, but even worse was the service. Our drinks ran out before the cook started cooking and weren't filled until after he was done and we HAD to ask. I guess it's okay these days for wait staff not to do there job, but still want a tip. Not sure if we will be back or not.

My son took me here for my birthday. Such an incredible location. The ambiance of this area is unsurpassed. The staff are very well trained and do an excellent job putting on a show in front.of your eyes. Like have front row seats at a play. And the magic of it all is incredible. And then to top it off, the food they serve is all so delicious. It doesn't matter what you order, everything is wonderful. I have returned a few times and every time, have been impressed..

This location is super old and I would expect a little more for a location that is waterfront in Monterey. Walked in without a reservation and we chose to sit in the bar area... the hostess was a tad bit unfriendly, but our server was very attentive and nice. Ordered the Rocky's Choice which was steak and chicken which was good and the veggies were also tasty and a plus they give you shrimp... the fried rice lacked flavor, but I didn't eat much of that. Overall it was just ok... i think it may be more fun if you eat in the main room where you get a show too, but we didn't want to wait for the table to fill up.

My second Benihana experience and this is what it is supposed to be! Warmly greeted when we walked in the door and immediately sat at the hibachi table with two other groups. Our server was very attentive and helpful. My Nana's soda was never empty. We placed our order (Benihana Special - 6 course meal with steak and lobster). Onion soup, miso salad, garlic shrimp, grilled zucchini and onions, grilled mushrooms with my steak, and a rainbow sherbert for dessert. Our chef Antonio was great! He explained each of the sauces. Put on several magnificent fire shows with the veggies and rice. He was engaging throughout the experience, which is why you dine here. Great price for the all-inclusive value. I cannot wait to return here.
