Excellent menu; enthusiastic and helpful staff. This was the perfect place for a quiet, celebratory dinner with me and my sister. Perfect way to treat ourselves. Also: Exceptional cocktails and desserts!

The meal was lovely from beginning to end. We had scallops, pink grouper and the pork chop, all of which were perfect and well accompanied. We had beef tartare and oysters. Bread from their bakery was great! Can't speak to desserts as we were so full. It was a lovely, delicious night, well attended by attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Thanks Cella!

As usual, the food and the service were excellent... Just a little bit noisy due to all the hard services and a banquet bench was uncomfortable by the end of the meal... They do have pillows. It was just very hard otherwise I will return as it is always a great experience.

Great staff, friendly and attentive. Someone forgot to put the buffalo mozzarella in our salad, but they quickly fixed that by bringing a big beautiful ball of it out! Delicious food!

Fairly quiet since we dined on a Thursday night but nonetheless, service was great. Really enjoyed the pork chop and octopus. Great flavor and portions were more than enough. Looking forward to coming back when we visit Monterey again.

Our dinner at Cella was nothing less than outstanding. It ranked among other fine dining experiences we've had at Michelin Stared restaurants. We were greeted warmly, and the Manager came by our table twice to make sure all was going well. Our server, Julio, was well trained in providing a high-end dining experience. He was gracious, knowledgeable, and oversaw our table's needs without being intrusive. The food was fantastic! We had oysters that were beautifully presented and with accoutrements that were perfectly suited to their flavor. The soup was amazing, silky and full of flavor, with hazelnuts to add a bit of crunch and chanterelle mushrooms for richness. The Chilean Sea Bass was the best we've ever had! It was served atop beautifully prepared French green beans and small turnips with a sauce that made you want to scrape your plate. The deserts we ordered were the Olive Oil cake and Crème Brûlée, both were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, and will certainly recommend Cella to our family and friends.

Great food and server. Love eating in the courtyard behind the restaurant. Only complaint: the dingdong hostess was on the phone when we arrived (sounded like speaking to someone wanting to make a reservation), and she kept chatting on the phone while a line of 8 people queued up to be seated, with no acknowledgment that people were waiting. Rude and inconsiderate and very disappointing for a restaurant that gets so much right.

We had an absolutely outstanding dinner. Cella over delivers in every aspect. Their team is friendly and the service is spot on. Maddie was our waitress. The four of us each had different entree and all were good. We highly recommend this spot and we will be back soon.

Every time we return to Cella, we feel the food just keeps getting better. Add to that the excellent service we always receive, and you understand why we return often. The grilled Spanish octopus, one of our favorites, is always tender, and the combination of romesco sauce, gigante beans and artichokes just sets this dish apart from other octopus appetizers we've tried elsewhere. For our entrees, we had the pink grouper and the Jidori chicken breast. The pink grouper was mild and delicious with the saffron-onion sauce. The chicken breast was as moist and tender as could be. The thyme and other spices that covered it really added to the flavor. The garlic fries didn't disappoint, and the green salad with avocado added a nice touch. This might become my go-to fish here.

A friend recommended Cella while we were in Monterey. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Our wait staff was so kind and professional. She knew the menu, and the timing of the food delivery was spot on. We enjoyed the wine and beer selection. The ambiance was lovely, cozy, and we could hear each other. My only regret is that we don't have time to go back again before we leave.
