Old time Chinese restaurant. Had Singapore noodles and mushroom water chestnuts. Food can out near immediate. Was very good. They accosted us by leaving our the oyster sauce.
Back in 1986-88 when I attended the Naval Postgraduate School and we lived in base housing, everyone's favorite Chinese restaurant was Chef Lee's Mandarin House. I loved it. I can honestly say that it ruined Chinese food for me for the rest of my life because rarely have I found a place that's even close to Chef Lee's. So whenever I go to Monterey, I go to Chef Lee's. The design of the restaurant is old-fashioned Chinese style, very attentive but rough.
The food is large but cooked rather roughly, and the wrong dish was delivered. The taste is not good.
