Picked up food to go last year and it was really good. So happy that we found this place again! Ordered garlic parm and spicy fried chicken wing plates, lemongrass chicken and beef meatball pho. Also ordered strawberry and melon boba milk tea and Vietnamese coffee with egg cream. Food and drinks came out quickly. Customer service was great. It was so good that we ate and drank everything! We will definitely come here again when we’re in the area.

This place is a staple in Monterey. Best pho on the peninsula.

Two people very close to me have gotten sick with food poisoning at this place about a year ago, I had forgotten to mention something so I wanted to do others a service and leave this warning in case their food standards haven’t gotten any better since. I really hope they have and wish the owners, employees, and customers the best ❤️?
Classic bowl of pho, pretty decent and affordable. Not much meat though, few slices of beef (4?) and probably 2 beef balls.

Omg, wonderful food, service and atmosphere. The menu has so many options. I started this trip with #0, noodles with meatballs. The broth is so flavorful. Place does a ton of take out with the locals. Definitely will visit again.

We waited for about 30mins for the food be prepared. Hu tieu soup was not good.
The iced Vietnamese coffee was fantastic though.

I'm not overly familiar with Vietnamese cuisine, so I can't really comment if this was good or bad. We mainly chose this place because it had an entire menu section dedicated toward vegetarian/vegan food, and it was right next door to our hotel. We ordered noodles + vegetables, and spicy BBQ tofu. They were both fine. Nothing to get excited about, not hot or spicy, pretty middle of the road taste-wise. My favorite is Thai food and I like it pretty spicy, so compared to that, this was bland. But it didn't taste bad, that's for sure. It just wasn't up to my usual level of flavor, which in my opinion Thai food is very flavorful. Any other Asian cuisine besides Thai generally tastes bland to me, so that's my yardstick. I give it four stars because of the extensive section dedicated to vegetarian/vegan items. That's my number one concern when choosing a restaurant. The only weird thing about this place is the booth we were sitting in. See the photo, and check out the pole that is inside the booth, not allowing you to sit close to the table. The pole prevents the seat from being close to the table, so you kind of have to sit on the edge of the seat once you start eating. Plus you can't enter the booth from the left side, the pole blocks you from sitting down on that side. Just a bit strange; I've never encountered a restaurant with that design before.

Two stars for great customer service. Meatballs were rubbery and tasted off. Broth was bland.
My wife and I came here with our 3 month old baby. They sat us and then kicked us out of our seats, saying there was actually someone in front of us. We just left and went to Islands down the street, which was a much better experience. Keep reading for more details.
My wife and I have come here plenty of times before and haven't had any issues, but I was appallad at what what happened this time. I have never had a restaurant do this. There was a line to be seated, and the hostess came and took the names of everyone standing in line. There was this other family in front of us who left after they took names. Everyone else stayed in line. They came back calling the name of the family in front of us, but they left, after they confirmed they were no longer there, they then called our name and seated us at the next table availble. After we sat down and finally got our baby's car seat to fit in the booth after struggling a little bit and we had selected our food, and we were ready to order, the hostess came back and said that this one random guy was actually in front of us and she showed us the list. This list showed his name squeezed in between our name and the family that was in front of us in line. We were not sure where he came from or what exactly was going on. They made us get up with our 3 month old baby. We didn't want any trouble so we decided to leave and go somewhere else. We used to enjoy coming here frequently, but after that episode, I don't think we will be coming back. I just cannot believe they sat us and then had us get up and vacate our table. I have never heard of a restaurant doing that, especially like this. I think it worked out for the better because we went to the Islands Restaurant down the street in the Del Monte shopping center and we had a great experience there, the food is definitely better, they sat us right away, and it has a much nicer atmosphere.

My wife and I recently visited Chopstix Vietnamese Restaurant and had a delightful experience! We ordered boba, pork spring rolls, and the BBQ pork slice rice dish, all of which were delicious. The portions were generous, offering great value for the price. The atmosphere is welcoming, and there's plenty of parking available, making it convenient and stress-free. This spot is definitely a gem for affordable and yummy Vietnamese cuisine. We're already looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic flavors!

So let me start off by saying I love chopsticks. I have been going to it since it 1st opened in Seaside and not the new location the location that used to be by the laundromat. I was in a hurry today and stopped by the 1 in Monterey for some steamed rice. I had food in the crock pot and just needed rice. Never been to this location but I asked the lady for an order of steamed rice and asked what size it was and she showed me the container it came in. So I ordered 2 they weren't even half full. Some family members had no rice with their dinner. I will eat at Chopsticks again because the food is good but won't be getting rice in a hurry from here anymore lol
