Unless I'm a poor communicator or I'm making overly-elaborate and complicated orders, there's no reason to screw up both sandwiches I order. I ordered two sandwiches--one meat, one cheese, one topping, both were wrong. Our first visit. It was good, but it wasn't what I wanted. And I realize getting good help is hard and I haven't seen many industrious young employees on Cannery Row to be honest. Mistakes can be made in life, but I really felt our order...
I ordered the muffaletta. It was excellent. Haven’t had one in years and it’s hard to find a deli that has the round roll with sesame seeds. I actually asked what kind of bread it was served on before I ordered it. I brought one home to my sister and she thinks it’s the best sandwich she ever ate. She’s 80.
Plan on returning before heading back east.

Highly recommend their The C Star sandwich. One of the best albacore tuna salad recipes with a yummy sandwich concoction of pickles and yellow mustard! It is huge and enough for two hungry adults. Friendly service, and cute little shop.
