You simply cannot beat the service at Crab Louie's!! Add to that a tasty food offering, and you're in for a treat. My husband and I came here during a little weekend vacay, looking for a snack to tide us over until dinner (at Stoke's Adobe). I had coconut shrimp and my husband had the crab sandwich. Both were very satisfying; his sandwich contained a pile of fresh crab, and bread was toasty and fresh (tasted like bakery bread). But the service... wow!! Friendly faces, drinks refreshed before they were even half empty. Lots of great energy and spirit in the staff. We'll definitely come back here again when we're back in town!

We went somewhat late. The staff were friendly and enthusiastically sat us down. We had a coupon from our boat trip earlier for a complimentary appetizer, which was a small serving of fried calamari. The ambience is cozy with traditional Italian vibes. The food is good but somewhat pricey, but then, the location on the water is pretty nice.

We were headed to Cafe Fina after reading great reviews but we, much like others in previous reviews, were lured in by a woman outside "dog friendly! Table with a view!" So we thought why not. Our server was attentive, nice and entertaining. The food was not our taste. The fish tacos were really dry, the chowder didn't have any flavor and the calamari was rubbery with sauce that was similar to watered down Bloody Mary mix. We push our food around our plates and fed some to a seagull who was patiently waiting for us to share and we WAY overpaid. $70 for food that was inedible, an expensive lunch for a seagull. In a positive not we did enjoy our seagull lunch friend and we saw some otters.

2 stars for the customer service as our server was super kind and attentive. Like everyone else, we were drawn in by the lady out front. Table with a view was great and the kids did get to see an otter and sea lion. But damn, the food was a bummer. Clam chowder was cold. Eggs Benedict was lukewarm and bland. And a mimosa was $16! Not worth it.

2 only for the service. 178$ for 2 kid and two adults was horrible and absurd. And we didn't even get seafood. We got tacos, fish and chips , Mac and cheese ( must have been Kraft for 14$) and one soda. They added the 25% gratuity. And I get it , I'm in the service industry but that was outrageous!!!! Food was mediocre service was ok ( fake) and they were speaking Arabic which I am fluent in and they didn't know that till I said something at the end. By that time I had already heard all the shit talking so I was livid !! They literally pulled up from the street with offers of great food . Never again !

Food was good, but beware! They slipped in an 18% gratuity for a party of five, even though the menu says it applies to a party of six or more. Unethical, disreputable, tourist trap. Avoid.

We were approached by an employee outside the restaurant. She made such a big hype about the food and "happy hour" and a free appetizer. Once inside the free appetizer was fried calamari. I don't like calamari but my family said it was disgusting. I ordered the fish tacos $22 add avocado $3 more. The tacos were white snapper. Pico de gallo that was bland and chipotle sauce that was also bland and watery. The tortillas are 2 regular corn tortillas for each taco. 2 tacos. Tortillas were stiff. Black beans were bland. My son ordered the chicken fettuccine. It was horrible. He didn't like it. The sauce was had no taste. The chicken had hardly any taste. It definitely was not worth $23. Mimosas were $7 each. We had 4 all together. $28. My mom and brother had the Dungeness crab sandwich supposed to be on a ciabatta roll. It came out on what looked like a regular bread roll and had a skimpy amount of crab meat. It tasted bad. They hated it. Not worth $25 each. The kids meals were chicken strips and a corn dog with fries. $14 each. They added a 20% gratuity charge. The bill came out to around $225 with tax for 6 people. Oh yea and the fountain drinks $5 each. Not only did we feel ripped off it gave 3 of us the runs. I would NEVER eat here again and I do not recommend anyone eat here. The food is horrible and I usually do not leave reviews but this was so bad I had to leave one to let others know...the ambiance is sorta run down and cluttered the place is small and tables are super close to each other.

They enticed us to eat in by saying we would get free calamari, who doesn't love free calamari? I only wanted a clam chowder and I kept asking about how many ounces are in the large bowl but they kept ignoring it. I was trying to compare to other prices of other shops on the wharf. The bowl was barely filled, the free calamari was a baby plate of 1-3 small rings of calamari which was mostly breaded. Now, of course the chowder was good because it tastes like every other one on the wharf but it was overpriced for a smaller portion. They also told us happy hour would be $7 drinks but they charged us full price and when we spoke up, they only changed it to 2 for the price of 1 (more than $7 for one). You're better off going to another shop:)

Like all of the other restaurants on the Fisherman’s Wharf, they have a greeter outside trying to get your business. She was a fun lady and said, ”Come on in for lunch! Happy hour and free Calamari!” I said, “What did you say about Calamari?” She replied, “You heard me girl!”. I also expressed we love Clam Chowder and she asked her guests that were seated next to her, “How’s the Clam Chowder?” They responded, “Very good!”She just seemed to have a fun personality and loved selling her restaurant. We were sold after walking up and down the pier looking at other restaurant menus. No regrets and we did in fact receive a small free appetizer of Calamari as she advertised.Waiters & Waitresses seemed to be having fun and enjoying their job. We got lucky and got moved to a table with a view. Everything was delicious and there were a lot of items to choose from on the menu.Be prepared that prices are going to be inflated since you are eating right on the pier just like anywhere else. We had two mimosas, Chicken Tenders & Chips & a Clam Chowder Bread Bowl (Free Calamari of course!) and the total was around $65 before tip.Try this place! You won’t regret it!
