Came in late night. I have not been to Denny's in years. It was quiet, not busy at all. We were seated right away. The server was cool. Very laid back. I ordered the French toast. It was so very good. Very cinnamonny. I also ordered a hot chocolate. Just right!!
The atmosphere was cool. There were about 2 drifters inside, but they were quiet and kept to themselves. One was sleeping.
I mean, it's Denny's. IYKYK. I may go back again.

Went during Veterans day asked for the Veterans day meal for millitary they gave me the wrong meal and then made me pay for it

We went to Denny’s in Monterey more for the “iconic” experience than anything else. Classic chain open 24 hours a day, one of those you see in every American movie. As soon as we entered, however, the environment did not make a great impression on us, a little shabby and poorly cared for. We got 2 hamburger sandwiches which was all in all passable, but nothing fancy, while the chips were really bad, soft, dark and tasteless. Overall I wouldn’t say I would stay there again.. it applies just once to the “Denny’s” experience, but certainly not to the Quality of food.

I must commend Maria highly. Maria was so gracious, welcoming and efficient. She made my dining experience really pleasant and comfortable. The standard and quality of the food I ordered at this Denny’s location in Monterey is excellent. Stepping into this Denny’s with Maria there, is like stepping into someone’s home with a gracious warm host. It is rare these days to find people like Maria. I highly recommend this Denny’s and if you’re lucky, you’ll get to experience the graciousness of Maria when you dine there. Excellent, thank you Maria!
