East Village Cafe makes an amazing cup of coffee. The baristas are so nice and professional. The place itself has so much personality, so cozy and eclectic. The best part is, you don't have to wait in a crazy long line like at other coffee shops in the area. I definitely recommend this place if you are into amazing coffee and chill vibes.

Nice cafe to read or hang out. They have amazing tea and coffee. They have a good collection of background music. The only downside is there is no wifi. If the owner is reading this review, please start offering wifi.

$3.50 hot tea, no wifi and metroPCS gets no signal. It used to be better. Employee does not know what is loose black tea.

I go here for coffee & beer in the past. New ownership, i haven't been there in a while. Now I'm a regular.Great Tumeric Ginger hot tea, my favorite.. I have them add a dab of honey.Great customer service.Locals hang out.I've noticed a big long table full of the Nieghborhood locals, old Sicilian & Italian men, regulars, laughing & talking about current & world events. You see this in many coffee shops.. it's a sign of this place is awesome.Lots of seating, indoor & outdoor.Highly recommended.

A charming cafe with warmth and an original vibe. Enjoyed a chai and a chocolate chip cookie. I'll return.

I think this shop is rated highly by others for vibes and the clear community connection they have going. The espresso drink I received was undrinkable due to it being watery, and I’m glad I didn’t drink it all, as it became apparent that cow milk had been used despite me following up and confirming that non dairy was used. I’m lactose intolerant, but this could be dangerous to someone with a lactose allergy.Very cool building, and love that they’re not trying to match every other minimalist coffee shop’s decor, but wish I would’ve skipped coffee that day.

I decided to take my daughter out before she returned back to school in So. Cal. I found East Village Cafe on google and it lives up to the reviews. This place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is charming and the latte's and pastries were delicious. Customer service was very courteous and helpful. You need to walk around and you will find seating around corners and walls. There is even a little shop. This will be a favorite stop for us for now on, when we venture to Monterey.

Stay away from this place the coffee is watered down the owners just in it for the money his name is Ryan and if you happen to bring any outside food on be careful because he will hover over you and then tell you you're being disrespectful. My friend and I have been coming into the coffee shop regularly for a couple of months we both spent about 10 to $20 a day apparently that wasn't enough to have a granola bar that we bought from outside. We won't be going back.
