The best burrito you could get in Monterey by far! Great price, and incredibly high quality. If you like Southern California Mexican food, you would love this burrito! I got a carne asad burrito for $8!
If you know, you know! El Charrito Express is the spot where locals grab their authentic (and perfectly priced) burritos. Their burrito bowls are better than anything that Chipotle could ever make. And dedicated off street parking makes it easy to get in and out really quick.
Wanted to like this place more.
Tried a Chile Verde burrito and chips and guacamole.
The stand out was their guacamole, it's really good.
The rest was just okay. Burrito tortilla was great but the Chile Verde lacked flavor and was about a medium heat wise. Chips were thick kind and very oily.
Service was very good though they only offer take out.
