I had this steak and eggs breakfast meal and it was really good. The customer service was also very good and I had a good experience. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Monterey.
It saddens me to see any negative reviews in the slightest for this little diner. I won’t sit here and say it was a Michelin restaurant but that’s one of the things I loved about it, I didn’t feel like I was at just some restaurant, it felt cozy, homely, and instilled a nostalgia that sends one back to their childhood. Grandma's Kitchen is a staple when my family visits Monterey. Any item on their menu is guaranteed to be delicious! My boyfriend and I arrived during their Saturday breakfast rush, so the noise level was moderate but nothing crazy. I highly recommend their biscuits and gravy or S.O.S.; their country gravy is delicious! I love being able to tell who the locals and regulars are versus the out-of-towners like ourselves.
