This market is a great place to get some middle eastern groceries that can be harder to find. A great selection. They also make really delicious food that is made to order, but still quick and very delicious. And, very conveniently, they have a great selection of vegan options on the menu, including falafel, bread, hummus, baba ganoush, salads, lentil stew, and stuffed grape leaves.

Cute little cozy shop that is half international grocery and half take out restaurant. They seem to be very well stocked if you are looking for international ingredients or snacks. I didn't end up buying anything since I was just passing through town but it was cool to walk around and peruse the shelves while I waited on my food to be ready. The two ladies behind the counter were also super friendly and approachable!I ended up getting the lentil soup and veggie plate to go. The portions were pretty good for the price but everything tasted just okay. Everything was much more bland than expected and the falafel was weirdly crumbly and dry. The hummus was the only really good part of the plate so we ended slathering it over everything. I wouldn't really recommend ordering either of these items if you're coming here but I do feel like there are better items on the menu that we just unfortunately didn't get.

We were hungry for middle eastern food and heard about the International Market and Deli. We walked in and were warmly welcomed by mom and daughter who I think are the family who owns the business. They were so friendly and the whole market made me want to go shopping as well as eat. We got plates of shawerma and giros with two dolmas each plus a really nice salad for $13. I want to go there every day to visit with them as well as eat their yummy food. It was really hard not to shop for a ton of fun foods while I was there. We were on bikes, so we could only hold our food and drinks. We will be back! They have everything you would want at really reasonable prices for Monterey. It is 2 blocks from the ocean so we ate over looking the beach. It's difficult to park on Lighthouse, so park on the perpendicular street, walk or ride your bike! Enjoy!!!

This is one of my favorite places on Lighthouse. If you know what you are looking for, it's amazing.... if you don't.....it's a treasure trove of adventure! They have my favorite teas and saffron sugar. Their sweets are unparalleled! And the staff....the staff! They are amazing and knowledgeable. Regardless of how busy they make me feel like I'm the only one in the store. Their menu is simple and perfected. I almost always get the beef shwarma, and I love everything about it! And they have a good selection of bottled drinks from the Middle East I have never seen before, so I always try a new one! Go eat their food and be happy!
